The reason why the Engineer went on a killing spree!

My theory on why the Engineer kills first and doesn't ask questions later goes something like this... the Engineer from 2000 years ago was at a stage of evolution, in the Engineer race, that they had most likely left behind basic emotions and were purely creatures of logic and experimentation. I say this because I don't believe that the last Engineer was wearing a uniform/space suit and that what he was wearing was actually a part of his biology. If you look closely at the last Engineer his suit was incorporated into who he was, he was truly biomech which was probably a result of generations of the Engineers enhancing and tampering with their own biology. The first Engineer we see was more druidic in his look and even though he was deposited on primordial earth by a craft of interstellar capabilities, his biology was unaltered. Which indicate that at that period of time in the Engineers evolution, as a species, they hadn't started mixing the biological with the mechanical. That also could explain why this druidic Engineer even felt the need to sacrifice himself to seed life on another planet. In those ancient times the Engineers probably still had a culture of emotions and feelings. Again this is all just a theory at an attempt to explain the differences in the looks and rationales behind the ancient Engineer and the more recent Engineers.

We have to keep remembering that the movie and Alien are very ambiguous. We have not been given as far as the movie any actual facts regarding any time frame. Only facts we seem to get are... 1) Prometheus landed on LV 223 in December 2093 2) The Engineer dead bodies had been there for around 2000 years (the carbon dating could have slight margin of error). 3) The Urns and the Outpost has been there for longer than 2000 years but we do not know how many years longer. 4) The substance that the Sacrificial Engineer had taken is most likely older than the creation of Outpost on LV 223 and the Urns. 5) The Sacrificial Scene had happened a long time prior to the events of the out break on LV 223, but we dont have a exact date and we dont even know 100% that it was on Earth but clues add up to such (Engineers and Humans sharing DNA). This are the more factual things, the rest well its all up for debate and all ambiguous. Now the above is as far as whats shown in the movie... below is what Ridley had hinted at. 1) The Engineers had played a hand in the creation of Mankind, the Sacrificial Scene shows the process of how they achieved this. 2) The Engineers had all but one died out about 2000 years ago, as they was preparing to use a Bio Weapon against Earth. 3) The reason for that is because of how mankind had become and they sent down a final emissary to warn us of our ways and change us but we crucified him and that was the last straw. 4) There technology was Millions of years old. 5) The Derelict had been on LV 426 for 200 years prior to the cataclysm that be-felled the Engineers on LV 223 (so 2200 years).
