I've just watched a Prometheus ad on UK terrestrial TV and they were quoting MAJOR MAINSTREAM NEWS MEDIA scores of 5/5 and 10/10 and ABSOLUTELY PERFECT, and these weren't only Rupert Murdoch-owned news/review outlets. Maybe they'd seen promising rough drafts of the forthcoming TWO sequels or maybe they just REALLY LIKED IT. :)

yeah, films generally come and go real fast in UK, except James Cameron's AVATAR (which I loved) :)

The UK loves Sir Ridley. It was obvious when James Cameron was making Aliens at Pinewood; the English crew despised him lol

Colonnial, really? Because I was probably hallucinating on PURE ADRENALIN while watching the original alien, I was so disappointed when (in Aliens) the xenos didn't morph using their bodily fluids like I TOTALLY CONVINCED MYSELF the xeno in Alien actually did, flowing in and out of all that ducting and wires, it was like some mad insane unstoppable phantom, with acid for sweat hair and gums ... then in Alien it was just some shrieking TARGET for the grunts. :(
