@Svanya and Shambhala: LOOOOOL! Haven't seen those before. Brilliant! @allinamberclad: I know you don't like me for whatever reason but I can live with that easily. In case you've seen the movie, it sounds very much like 'mom' and yes I know what 'ma'am' is supposed to sound like in any possible accent. If this is supposed to be 'ma'am' then I'd say the language coach has failed dramatically to get an Irish actor pronounce it properly!

I have seen the film and it sounded like nothing else but, "Ma'am", to me - hence my advice... This is all a bit odd - I'm afraid you lost me at: "@allinamberclad"... Have you actually addressed this to the correct person?...

@HAL 9000 and allinamberclad; It's the British pronounciation of Ma'am, it sounds like MUM or mom. They call the Queen, Ma'am, but it sounds like The Queen Mum.
