I had heard of this a few years ago, I did a search here on the forums for "mona lisa".. pulled up nothing which was suprising. Has this not yet been discussed on the forums here? read [url=http://psychonauticus.blogspot.com/2012/05/prometheus-and-moon-maidens.html]this link[/url].. it (and the links off this page) discuss a "real" conspiracy theory regarding a joint US/USSR apollo mission in the 70s to explore an alien derelict craft that supposedly is/was parked on the moon. The so-called "alien" discovered in the craft was biomechanically fused to some sort of navigation device connected to her eyes and mouth [img]http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-agbJu68t0g4/T7VZubUaGFI/AAAAAAAALSo/Q-ohmxHPe-c/s320/MonaLisa11.gif[/img] I'm not a big follower on conspiracy theories but it is an intriguing read even if this "covert cosmonaut" is a complete fraud.

@msepsis Hadley means that the star system that the Prometheus crew go to (Zeta 2 Reticuli) was first mentioned [i]by the abductees[/i]

Well, certainly in Alien, the Nostromo is diverted to a moon of a gas giant around Zeta 2 Reticuli. We are not told in this film that we are Zeta 2 Reticuli, and I doubt that we are... but it's in the neighborhood. (I know someone's going to quote 'the higher power' on this... but I'm willing to stand over it, despite that, and despite admiring 'the higher power' for saying it.)

@ yutani yeah I get that, but this is hardly a "clue in this as to what's going on with the plot of Prometheus." I don't even know if I want to know where you're going with this :) Hopefully it could explain though why the crew pulled every cliche in the book of thriller suspense movies.

Well, think of something in the Hill case that HASN'T been pulled out as a cliche in this script... and then ask why it hasn't been mentioned. I think that's a "lightbulb" moment.

Yeah, the only things Scott or Damon borrowed from that story is the Zeta Reticuli idea.

I find it rather interesting that Hans Rüdi´s Alien and alien world show actual demonic creatures. Real ones.get it boys.. cheers

I was patiently waiting for someone to make a demonic reference. Dr. J. Allen Hynek of Project Blue Book fame recanted his original claims that UFOs are a figment of ppls imagination. He actually said later in life he finds them to be more malevolent able to break the laws of physics. The author of the book Communion also describes his abduction of one not being very pleasant more like being tortured in hell and even Mr. Carl Sagan said that if a creature from the 4th dimension were to visit Earth it would not be a happy moment for mankind. All in all pseudo science is just that and nothing more, but actual scientist admit there are things out in the universe that mankind will not like to meet so I'm not surprised RS worked his aliens to kill us. Maybe they are from the space in between spaces.
