The suits on the engineers seem to merge with their bodies, seamlessly. Not like a worn suit but an extension of their physical self. Is there more to this element than we realise?

"Can you imagine trying to getting hooked up again in this pod?" maybe the pipes zip back into the chamber like seat belts do maybe getting in requires assistance hence one pilot several chambers the other crew may have varied roles as with the human crew

"..maybe getting in requires assistance .." This might give insight to why the Last engineer goes crazy on the crew. At some point in the Weyland meeting the Engineer realized that there were no other Engineers around. He couldn't get hooked up even if he wanted to. No problem, just go to Earth and put a beat down on Earthlings.
