Alien: Earth and Alien: Romulus sequel news

May someone enlighten my doubts of all the story gaps?

I disliked ALL THE GAPS that at least I didn't see explained: 1) Why the engineers wanted to kill humans? I'm guessing is to go to live on earth? Their planet was dying? I don't know, nothing is explained. 2) If Weyland appears in Alien 3, were Aliens already exist, why is Weyland here as well? Was it really an android in Alien 3? There's no connection between franchises then? Don't know... 3) I have to understand that all the holograms were security cameras?........ :S 4) From what were the engineers running and dying in piles? 5) If those bugs were supposed to be sent to earth to kill humans, what was the plan then? Invade earth later with those things running around? 6) How all those civilizations saw those stars so far away? And which was the "invitation" if the engineers wanted to kill them all? So it was no invitation? So the engineers didn't teach them their location? SO HOW AND WHY THEN DID THEY DREW THAT STAR ALIGNMENT??? 7) Other ships buried all over the place? WTF? 8) Why couldn't the engineers do all that plan that they had, from their home planet? 9) How the hell did the DNA matched 100% if the species is, at least, physically different? I don't share the same DNA with my own mother, and she's is my mother! 10) OK, I got to the supposition that the intro scene means the origin of the human raze evolving from the broken DNA in the water. But why did they did that? They were testing planets for life subsistence? Again, their planet was dying from something? I DIDN'T UNDERSTAND #$%&!!!

i thought it was very similar to stuff we've seen before AvP included. Ancient drawings lead to a pyramid, find nasty things in pyramid, everyone dies- almost. Was expecting better plot it just followed what's been before really i quite liked avp except that bit where the huge queen gets outrun by the woman. I didnt have high hopes for avp either so was pleasantly surprised it was quite watchable. it was the final act in prometheus that for me was a big let down. just turned into a monster mash

I had high hopes for AVP after waiting so long for it to come to film, and I did walk away disappointed which wasn't the case with Prometheus. I didn't think it felt rushed like AVP and the acting was far superior to AVP. A lot of the similarities fall back to the fact that a lot of ideas for AVP were taken from that grab bag of unused Alien material that the lions share of prometheus has been pulled from. I can see the plot holes are there as have been pointed out, but I really wasn't looking for them while I was enjoying the film, so they didn't bother me. I'm really at a loss as to why so many people are disappointed I wish they could've enjoyed the film as much as me and had a great movie experience, but to each his own opinion and I'm sorry it didn't measure up to what you wanted out of it.

I'm having a good laugh at some of these comments pointing out the gaping plot holes, silly character decisions etc. As much as I like the film's ambition, both visually & thematically. I do have to wonder whether the creators of the movie even know what the f*#k is going, because if they don't how the he'll are we suppose to. A director never has to explain to the audience what their movie means, but they should have an idea themself, no matter how absurd it might be. I think the complaints levelled at this film hold more weight than those directed at Alien 3. Plus the creators had carte blanche to do what they wanted for Prometheus & the funds to back it up. A lot of the confusion could still be remedied by a sequel but has the general public got the appetite for one, or are they happy with more easily digestible fodder like Avatar 2? Quite frankly, I'm only interested in returning to Pandora if it involves uprooting that stupid tree & wiping out the nauseous Na'vi.
