MemberOvomorphJune 23, 2012Hello. I saw the movie and freaked out over the art direction, lol. So, I drew this pic of David when I got home from the movie and my friends said I should share it on here, so... here I am, lol. I want to be a conceptual artist for movies more than anything. Hope you like it.

It is sublime, digital art really has moved from curiosity to mainstream. This is a prime example of that. Absolutely beautiful. I saw a mention of Vickers/Shaw... that would be a treat if you could possibly do them as well, again thank you so much for sharing.

Wow, thank you SO much everyone! : 3
I drew this on normal sketchbook paper with a not so special #2 pencil, lol. I took a photo of my drawing with my digital camera (I hate scanners, they take away the texture of the paper) and fixed it up with some color and contrast on a free program called Gimp. It's like a low grade photoshop, but it's all I got, lol.
I've been thinking about doing some cartoony things with David, I'll post them if I follow through : 3
I do tend to accidentally age people in my drawings, lol. I tried to stay as true to the original image as I could, which did show slight wrinkles. I guess I just made them a bit too noticeable, lol. Heres the original image I based it off of-

Thank you guys! lol, I'll try to do some little cartoons inspired by Prometheus soon or something. I wish I didn't have school! lol, I'd have more time to finish all my ideas and post them, lol.

@Theresa: when the page loaded I could just see the top of the painting and for a moment there I thought it was an actual picture!
Girl, you have some serious talent, I hope you get your wish!
Hey, maybe RS sees this and envites you to Prometheus 2 (if it ever comes to life...). Just make sure to tell him we enjoyed the movie and all, but didn't like the plot holes too much, ok? ;)
Congrats!

I'd LUV to see the pencil sketch too! I teach figure and portrait drawing time to time! Nice one.
