What I have understood from the manga is that Shaw is having a nightmare and David is thinking something. The rest of the manga seems to be some sort of parody LOL.

sukkal,
Japanese, kanji is a little less complex than Chinese.
2013 sci-fi horror novels 'Custodian' and 'Tandem' available from Amazon, B&N, iTunes etc...

Japanese Kanji may be simplified somewhat, but I don't think that's Japanese.
My Japanese is rather rusty, and it is stylised handwriting, not the nice typed kanji I'm used to (lightweight, I know) but this seems seems entirely written in Chinese characters with the exception od the letters "Dr" for doctor. A Japanese sentence would have a mixture of alphabets, Kanji, Hiragana for verb endings, and prepositions, and Katakana for foreign words like Shaw's name.
I could have a go at trying to translate it later, but got to go now.
Genjitsu says it's funny, so presumably s/he can read it.
If he's saying something like "The trick Dr. Shaw is not minding that it hurts" then I could guess that without the need to translate the writing.

This language in this is NOT Japanese. It's Chinese.
Japanese characters (kanji) are often simplified at an intermediate level between traditional Chinese hanzi and the severely simplified script specified by Beijing.
I cannot read the 3rd character in the line by Shaw (I haven't studied Chinese in over 20 years), but it's clear that she is on the Engineer craft with David having a nightmare about everything that's transpiring. The time frame is curiously given as 10 o’clock earth time. I cannot claim to give a perfect translation of the Chinese text, but this is NOT Japanese.

Hey Sukkal, another reader of Eastern Squiggles!
I agree it doesn't look like Japanese to me, the absence of the other Japanese alphabets is the easist thing, even without looking at the style of Kanji.
So, David is eating and sewing his head back on and thiking something in reply to what Shaw says while having a nightmare. You got a Chinese dictionery on a shelf somewhere?
My Kanji dictionary might help a bit, but it's not reliable for Chinese characters for the reasons you gave. Even where it gives the chinese origin alongside, if it's different, it makes it impractical to search for, by stroke count etc.

It says:
SHAW: Wo yao X le ni. (I want to X you.)
DAVID: Diqui yejian 10 dian zheng, Dr. Shaw (Xiao) zhijin zuo le 21(?) ci you eyi-de shenceng mengjing. (10 PM Earth time, Dr. Shaw has had 21(?) episodes of profoundly bad (hostile/malicious) dreams up to now.)
I don't know what the "X" is. I can't find it in any dictionary. It could be slang or just (hand)written in a form that I can't parse well enough to be able to look it up. Sorry.

Perhaps it's deliberately hard to read because they are hinting it's a rude word?
Could it be the equivalent of writing in English "i want to #%^& you" perhaps?

@Hadley's...I know nothing of the language but since apparently David said her dreams are "hostile and malicious" I would assume it's more like "I want to kill you" than I want to f**k you." Unless Shaw's version of sex is known to David as being kinky lol.

IT CAN'T BE JAPANESE!
WHY?
NO TENTACLE RAPE!
Ask nothing from no one. Demand nothing from no one. Expect nothing from no one.

...since apparently David said her dreams are "hostile and malicious" I would assume it's more like "I want to kill you" than I want to f**k you."

Sukkal wrote "hostile/malicious" not "hostile & malicious. "
The characters

have a range of interpretations, including nasty, sharp tongued and possibly "leering" depending on context.
Unless Shaw's version of sex is known to David as being kinky lol.
could be that too... but he seems uninterested. He hasn't learned the trick of not minding that it hurts... not quite yet. ;p
