Deacon's Head SOLVED!

Hello firends! I believe I know why the Deacon's head is shaped differently! First of all in some reptiles and birds the babies have an organ at the tip of their beak/nose known as a egg tooth. What the egg tooth does is help the infant animal break through the egg while the animal is inside. As we all know the Deacon broke throught the Jockey's chest using the tip of his head just as if it were an egg tooth! The interesting thing though is that the egg tooth eventually falls off. So in my opinion the point of the Deacon's head is like an egg tooth and it's quit possible that after he matures it will fall off or change shape. I this this form of chestbursting makes more sense than the regular way since it's more effective using a sharp tip to cut through flesh thatn just pushing through! I'd love to hear your thoughts!

RS has already said that this was the case. Not that the head will change shape, but that it was the shape it was to aid in escaping the host.

Thanks for the explanation, and yes the boards have covered this. When baby deacon rips through the Engineer chest cavity using it's rear head, we kind of suspected a design in process there...Again thanks for sharing and please do not stop the flow of threads...

Well it's very possible the head will change shape due to the fact that the xeno will no longer need the point! Your welcome guys!

excellent observation - it does makes sense. now what was that nasty, placenta-looking organ laying next to the Deacon as it rolled around in the slime after breaking out?

I believe it was a placenta or perhaps an egg? I don't really know!

Good point #Synthrimonger94. After all, the traditional Xeno starts off with only two tiny forearms and no legs to speak off whatsoever. The notion that it will change dramatically before maturity is a good one!

yeah, I've seen some people saying it was an egg - I just don't see the logic in it. So Cuddles implanted an egg into Bob..? Why not just lay the egg in the Medipod room ALIEN style?

Yeah I really just think it was a placenta or maybe a yolk that Deacon absorbed? Could've even been Bob's heart!

Jim100, love that avatar, Sinth, love the idea of that egg-tooth falling off and leaving a lovely round head with distending lower jaw. I always think of cycling TIME TRIALS when I see that Deacon.
