In Alien, Kane regained consciousness several hours after being impregnated, and was able to move around and even eat (part of, anyway) a meal. Does anyone have any thoughts regarding the gestation time of the Deacon? Are we to assume that it is incredibly quick (mere hours) and that the host is in some kind of a coma? Or does it take place over an extended period of time, and that the host is rendered immobile. Also, if Alien is any indication, the trilobite would have dried up and died like the facehugger after impregnation. It would have been interesting to see what state it was in at the end too...
