Hello :) I'm Chuck!
As I'm always scanning through these forums I thought that now was the time to sign up, I'm 18 and a student of science! Massive fan of Alien and Aliens as well, Alien 3 was okay, not too great nor too bad, still a classic though, and Alien Resurrection was, well... not too bad either I guess.
I'm a horror/sci-fi addict in general being very few horror movies I haven't seen, as I stated previously I am a student of Science, It's my love for all this that inspired me to take sciences, (just passed my first, going back September for highers than hopefully first year of degree) I definitely hope to progress in this and make a good career out of it.
Saying that, I did sign up because I love and respect Prometheus so so much, ever since it had been added to UHM (Upcoming Horror Movies) database, which was quite a long time ago (just tried searching on the site for when it got added to the database but no date, sad times).
Anyway, I went to see Prometheus June 1st at my local cinema, it's not a good cinema at all, not even 'digital', no 3D, seats are uncomfortable, and the floors are sticky... I shit you not. Even with all that, it's not a bad cinema, I took two friends with me as I didn't want to go alone, one hadn't seen any Alien movies and doesn't watch TV or films in general as well, she's a hipster bless her and it's all too mainstream, my other friend had seen a few Alien movies and all in all, they both thoroughly enjoyed the film 'better than expected' was one's comment and 'amazing' being the other.
I already knew Noomi Rapace was a great actress, after watching all the Girl with The Dragon Tattoo movies, I knew she'd do the part justice, Michael Fassbender was amazing too, I hadn't actually heard too much about him until Prometheus, I watched 'Shame' the other night which starred him and it was brilliant, incredibly pervy, but brilliant nonetheless if you're very open minded.
I was in awe after the movie had finished, I felt as though it could've gone on for another 2 hours long it was that spectacular, it was stunning, beautiful and acted out so well, the plot was outstanding and even though it was confusing, yes, I'm glad it wasn't predictable like every other film out there... no, it left me questioning things which I have great fun, even to this day trying to piece things together and how it could run off into a sequel, I'm obsessed with Prometheus I even exercise to the tune used in the teaser.
Yes, I really am obsessed.
I love everything about it, okay, I won't go on too much because I feel as though i'm starting to repeat myself now.
I'm Chuck, and that was my introduction?
Hope to see you all around!
