Running Engineers

The engineers could have been beginning their run, as in coming from the juggernaut, to be running through THAT tunnel as it entered the pyramid. The entrance to the tunnel leading to the juggernaut was not inside the ampule room, as in through another door on the opposite side of it.

@Indy John: The Engineers were running along the same tunnel that the crew were exploring. The tunnel that links the pyramid to the Juggernaut is at a lower level. It's entirely possible that they started their little jog in the Juggernaut, but we don't know. There's actually quite a lot of the Pyramid that we don't get to see, with chambers that are only partially mapped by the pups.

Yes there is quite a few points about the pyramids that are not detailed. With our crew walking several tunnels,,there is no discoivery of lighting/recording equipment. ,,it would be interesting to know/see how the holograms were captured.. The tunnels shape are curious to me in that they all seemed to be the same egg/oval shape, I don't think there was any lighting left by the Engineers mark the tunnels. To me the Holograms seem to look like infrared outlines...

I revisited the two running Engineer scenes The orginal triggered by david and Shaw's viewing in her room. To me they show a similar situation but Shaw's replay is at a much lower angle than the original version. It may be a minor point but Shaw's video was from her own video feed back to the ship. THe original seemed farther away and at a higher angle. It is not clear to me that they were the same scene...or a different take of the running Engineers because of the angle difference. I would have like to be able to compare a screen shot from both movie scene for comparisons. I only mention this because the scene was activated by David. I wonder if he manipulated the scene Shaw replays because it revealed too much too soon to the other crew members. Clearly the Engioneer falls to his knees/goes head first across the doorway and the door slams down. In watching the timing it seemed almost a staged head separation scene. There has been a mention that perhaps the others were trying to separate themselves from this last engineer and they certainly separated something.

Why have Holograms at all? Why such a dramatic presentation in the Orrery? I would view these as special presentations, something not uues on a day to day basis. More of putting on a good show that useful for scientific analysis. I think this format was selected to grab the human minds attention not needed to convey actual information. Something to show humans are inferior at least on first glance. It worked on David getting more than he bargain for in his first Orrery show. But beyond the razzle dazzle shouldn't be the scientific aspect of our movie: gathering facts, not get distracted and meet with fellow scientists to discuss results. This didn't happen of course but why not? For such a massive scientific mission there was so little scientific investigation.

I liked the idea of holograms telling a story of what happened over 2,000 years ago. Especially when they all start running like 'someone who just robbed a bank'. Just the fact of having something so ancient and so mystical ghosts rushing right in front of our eyes. The hologram as a whole seems to be some sort of 'black box' and that 'blue-green goo' is some how filled with an organic like artificial substance. What ever it is its sure looked like it contained energy.

Indie john I thought maybe they were running from the juggernaut but zzplural I think is correct. Jeez just another 36 hours and imagine what they would have discovered !!!!! What hidden wonders were there to be discovered !!! But no They couldn't wait until the next day and get proper scan of the pyramid. They had to take of their helmets David had to open the door to the ampule room 'oops' probably knowing what was going on on the inside (from reading the hyroglyphs) A storm had to come just as they were beginning to discover the pyramid Fifield ,d milburn had to get lost Everytime they came back to the pyramid something forced them back to the ship . Was Shaw and holloway even aware of the all the dead stacked up engineers ? Only janek knew about it ? Then Holloway began to morph. Every damn time they were about to really discover / evplore / survey something sent them back . Eish !!!!! They came so close everytime !
