MemberOvomorphDec-30-2012 8:19 AMAfter that fateful week that first Jon Spaihts' and then Damon Lindelof's scripts were leaked and most of us got a chance to read them, word came down from Fox to remove them from this site and that is fine especially for those of us who already read them. They gave us much greater insight into the construction of what became a very facinating movie. As it turns out they can still be easily had just by looking online but I will respect Fox's request and not say where or provide any links. If there are any fans who would like the opportunity to read various versions of the above mentioned scripts along with all of the Alien scripts for educational purposes only, they can be easily found and I will leave that up to curious fans to figure it out themselves. If you do find them do not send them to anyone or upload them for your own safety. By me telling you this I do not believe I am violating any rules or studio requests as I have not provided any links or files or told you where they can be found. I personally enjoy having them to study script development and to provide additional insight into a movie with a certain amount of ambiguity like Prometheus. Happy reading!

AdminEngineerDec-31-2012 12:35 AMMy guess is because they plan to use some of the elements from Spaihts' original draft in the sequel to Prometheus - which I might add, would not be a bad thing at all. I really enjoyed Jon's script!

MemberOvomorphDec-31-2012 3:52 AMThanks Chris, I will be rereading the Spaihts script very carefully again. Also I wasn't sure if you guys were going to leave my post up. It definitely wasn't meant to be provocative. PS I like the new look to the site!
