MemberOvomorphSep-26-2012 4:25 AMI have watched Aliens many times and I just noticed a continuity error regarding Spunkmeyer. He brings Bishop some requested items for his research in the med lab at the colony, but in the movie sequence shown, he is supposed to be aboard the first drop ship with Ferro, the pilot of the ship. Their orders were to land only long enough to release the AVC or whatever that heavy vehicle was called, then immediately dust off and go somewhere else, but they never said where. It would almost be better if they went back to the Sulaco but I imagine the fuel may be a problem depending on the type of engine used to power space craft by this time in the future. The only other possibility would be that they landed at some distant location on the planet, while the platoon investigates the colony but that doesn't make sense either since there seems to be the possibility of xenomorphs on LV 426. But Spunkmeyer is the one who delivers Bishop the instruments or equipment he needed to the med lab. If the first drop ship was the source of the required research equipment/ materials then they should have shown it relanding so I don't think it was the source. So how can Spunkmeyer be in two places at once? If someone else has the answer please enlighten me.
