also I believe that in interviews regarding A3 and AR, ridley is basically saying, without trashing what the directors did in those films, alien and aliens are the only 2 films we (the viewer) should be taking reference from for these movies. he has said many times the way these movies went was not how he would have done things so the super face hugger may have no place in ridleys world for the xeno

Fair point. I believe A3 is canon but RS may ignore it.

I hope hes just going to go with what he would have done had he continued the series. he may take some elements from those films but remember hes had 30+ years to come up with ides for the next stage

I agree with dk.As much as i like Resurrection its so far down the timeline it's easy to ignore.3 still has connections to one and two,and aside from some continuity errors its not easily ignored.It just needs to be tied in better,and also a better effort than colonial marines.
