Kane's new face
MemberOvomorphFeb-07-2017 11:46 PMWhile tossing in some thoughts on the Front Page post about picking AVP back up, I realized that even though I really am not looking for AVP to continue, there is one type of AVP movie I wouldn't mind seeing. If Fox gave as a stylish origin story on the Predators' first encounter with the xenos, it might actually be a success.
This would really depend on Writer/Director/Producer choices but in giving more thought to it over the last few hours, I came up with the skeleton of something I could actually get into.
What does everyone think of the idea that the next AVP should be an AVP prequel. A depiction of ancient predators first acquaintance with the xenomorphs?
If this is premise you could get into, how would you set it up? What would be the focal plot points?
Personally, I'd prefer it be a movie without humans or words for that matter. It would also need to showcase xenos collective intelligence and strategic nature as it's weapon instead of full contact combat. Ideally it's be a survival story. A situation in which a predator finds itself unexpectedly marooned on a foreign planet. One where it would eventually learn, the planets only inhabitants are a hive creatures it has never known before. Creatures unmatched in their pure hostility and capacity to operate in groups. Something the predator would have to survive and conquer if it hopes to ever leave.
I'll kick this off with my own idea for an opening in the comments
