Whilst I admired the regulars and digested their input with much awe and interest, I thought my efforts would be torn to shreds or laughed off the forum! lol

Not sure if you are famililiar with the late great Lemmy from Motorhead or if you are into that- but he gave some good advice: Fly your flag up the pole and see who salutes it.

I know my flag has not been saluted by many but it won't keep me away.

You posted some interesting things like the Deacon worship that I didn't weigh in on because I didn't know enough to contribute.

Craigamore and Cypher were the first to welcome me to the forum. Loved reading their input.

Big shoutouts go to Svanya, Al, Tank Girl, Shambs, Hicks, Sky, Major Noob/Aorta, Necronom 4, BigDave, FREEZE!, Punx, NCC, iapetus and many more names I've forgotten, who all made my time here so enjoyable. There was so much fun and insanity on the SB when Patch [or Patchypoo as I called him] opened his Waffle Plex, who remembers the menu? Thanks guys and gals!

I admire your honesty, and your feelings weren't far from the truth imo as I certainly remember some outright Fifield- smash! savagery here back in 2011-2012 at times.

I'm not referring to intense debate without insults (which I have nothing against) but downright harsh comments at times even before the film was released. 

I have to say though that not only is the hype healthy again, but also the general attitude, at least seen from my perspective. Not sure how you see it though, as all personal views differ from each other of course.  

Overall I'd say the forum has matured in a lot of ways (and yes that includes myself except the part where I'll never stop joking in a childish non-insulting way with lots of self-distance)
