I kinda agree OP, that awakening has been filmed or much of it has. It's probably all gonna be on a ship or somewhere less extravagant than paradise. Fox has to know they are going to murder some casual pocketbooks and wallets, fingers crossed. How often do humanoids on the "what a shithole " eArth get a AAA montser film even if there are tones of skynet . What bugged me are ridley should have pimped the ampule room more it was so gorgeous. Mostly, lol, the goo seems to do whatever it wants like how did 223 baddies get infected if they are wearing their hazmat diy grown suits. That deselect parking garage was cool but come on, they had to have egypt style slavery to build that thing. As for Shaw and tipe8 , how can she trust him when he knew she would get infected then frozen and disected like a lab rat. I can see him killing anything human but how he avoids getting a spike through his back is beyond me.

I am not 100% sure if they filmed Awakening yet but i think they could have shot some scenes as it makes sense to re-use what ever sets that are in AC that are to be in the next movie.

So i think some of the next movie could have been shot but there is not way to know for 100%

Capt Torgo, yes, with Dr. Shaw only showing up in a hologram and a name tag for a few seconds, I still believe all the filming she completed in 2016 was for Alien: Awakening.

That is actually a very good point in regards to the Engineers affected while in their protective suits.

I can only assume that the Engineer's building methods are automated with nanotech and autonomous machines that built the pyramid and underground structures on LV-223.

I would expect that the Engineers didn't have to lift a finger to build what is on LV-223 and we only saw a small part of the Engineers' total structure constructed.

And finally yes, I look for every opportunity to include a pic of the room with the urns. I wanted to see more in that space for sure and I'm really excited to read that the Prometheus set was recreated for Alien: Covenant.

if you look very closely at the Neomorph picture, you can see a small interruption in its face where the mouth appears. Similar to how the Deacon was but more bulbous 

Also, if you look towards the left side of the pic where it's teeth are fully beared, you can see the shape of its elongated head, seemingly similar to the one that attacks in the wheat field in the second trailer 

As far as Awakening goes a lot depends on what was meant when Shaw was on set to film  weeks worth of scenes.

If this was a weeks worth as in when you plan a weeks worth of shopping, then this is 7 days which could be only 5-10 Minutes Screen time on set. 

Total shooting time was about 15 weeks but additional shooting took place latter in November 2016, however the time Noomi Rappace was reported on Set to do weeks worth of shooting to when shooting wrapped up would have been 5 weeks maximum.

So Noomi Rappace would have done  1 Weeks or indeed up to 5 weeks of shooting, i did hear one report that was not official that she did 3 weeks worth and so who knows.

A Weeks worth of shooting would be enough to do a few Cameos as we need to remember being on set for 7 days does not mean she will be shooting 7 days worth of Shots that will make it into the movie.  However 7 days is enough time to do the odd short appearance in Alien Covenant and also film a few minutes up to 10 worth of scenes for the next movie.

If however she was on set for a number of weeks, so say 2-4 weeks then surely her role would be more in Alien Covenant and would amount to more than few minutes of screen time but something like 15-25 minutes instead which i cant see her being in Alien Covenant as herself (i.e not CGI effects, or Props) for more than 3-8 minutes.

So therefore indeed if she had been there for a few weeks then she could have more likely shot scenes for the next movie.

As if the next movie indeed covers some of the events prior to Alien Covenant and Post Prometheus, it would make sense to shoot any Scenes that would require the use of sets that was used in Alien Covenant.

Especially when we consider Ridley Scott has the next movies Draft done, and wants to release at least TWO movies that will lead up to Alien.

I hope so, i can make out a slit but we have to remember the Scene is low resolution and dark and hopefully by the time the Movie is done, we will have a better finish to it

It could appear they are going for this kind of influence

However it appears there is no Mouth in the Trailer to start with not that can be seen, but this is a idea that the alternative Deacon was going to have

We just need a nice, clear shot if thesis was of its head in broad daylight. Like they did with the Xeno
