I need to read the Novelization, from what I've been hearing it's pretty good and a great companion to the movie as it fleshes out the characters more and presents alternate routes.

So far I'm enjoying how all my interpretations of the opening scene were spot on and loving even more the authors way of describing whats going on with their intentions in regards to their responses to one another. I enjoy the descriptions given. Really good stuff!!

David is a charmer, but only so long as you allow him what he wants from you!  Lucifer incarnate!!

I have saw it once and that is enough for my wallet for a film of that caliber.  I was not thrilled with the movie and if Awakenings goes the Engineer path; then I will wait until it hits HBO lol.

Yes, David is both very charming and very evil! Is Lucifer the same person as Satan? This is really making me want to read Milton and learn more about this stuff, because I sense a lot of really interesting archetypes are being used and they're flying over my head.

You know, actually I don't think David was kissing up to Weyland, at least not intentionally. Weyland just included enough of his own personality in David's design that a lot of his own values were heavily reflected. He was made in Weyland's image, you might say. As much as David would probably resent it, he probably takes after his father, the industrialist a great deal.
