Imagine you are a Marketing executive

Umm.... Maiden still tours and writes and I still listen to them....Anyway, it makes one think about who or what is really in control.

1. David having tea with a corpse(sitting at a table...or surrounded by corpses in a pinwheel design on the floor of the Covenant ). Then another one:A graveyard in space(floating sleep chambers)

1. Dead silence.....no music...pulsing images...black and white photos….then fading to red photos…Then a normal trailer. Not revealing much though.

1. 30-60 male

1. No CGI. Again..No CGI...selling point.

1. Characters and story...Thriller less gore.

1. NO CGI...OLD school filmmaking 70mm...What you see is what you get.

1. One of the Covenant sleep chambers is inhabited by a half android/synth,  a modified human…..sympathetic character.

1. Shot entirely on the Covenant..Deep space...Low budget...most money to the actors.

David is having problems….visited by ghosts of his father and Shaw.

Mother is seeing David as a threat to the crew. She releases Daniels and Tennessee...they hide from David who has locked all ship commands. Mother still has control of life support and she can override for seconds at a time many subsystems(airlocks, sleep chambers, etc)

David has replaced his blood with the Black Death/plague(black goo) A scene shows him draining some goo from his arm into a vial....He has released some colonists and is injecting them with the pathogen...all under the supervision of Peter Weyland. “Good David. Excellent work”

Mother routes Daniels and Tee through ductwork to a wing of colonists she has revived. The colonists have skills mother thinks may help, one is half synth.

David finds Daniels and Tee missing! Gets mad and destroys much of the laboratory. Threatens Mother.

Cat and mouse action.

..Mother helps in cornering David in an airlock...but it’s a stalemate, he has the plague and they don’t dare kill him...The colonists, who David infected, start to turn into monsters(fifield like….again NO CGI)swarm the ship.

Zombie crunching action(Mother vents some into space, smashes some with airlocks, etc…)

David has attached himself to a junction box...Partially uploads himself into Mother, able to control her. He terminates life support and vents the ship….They find David and his plague infested body(moldy David)...the synth/human hybrid sacrifices his/her life to battle David and sever his connection to Mother.

She/He(not sure yet...make the studio decide male or female part)kills David...rips him apart...the hero/heroine dies of the plague and injuries suffered in the battle...Mother vents her into space.

Survivors are worried about Mother, Mother says the David virus has been terminated...the movie ends as they wonder if the nightmare is over...can they trust Mother...Is David really gone from her?

MonsterZero Some interesting ideas there. I wouldn't be surprised if David tried to conduct an experiment on himself. It sounds like a dark and trippy movie :-)

That all sounds AWESOME! I love David's slow descent into madness and him seeing the ghosts of Weyland and Shaw. I would love to hear the backstory on that half-synth character!

One question...target demographic 30-60 male? Very interesting. Do you think the series typically appeals more to males? I am curious as to whether there's a gender specific distribution and if so what causes it, especially since the series tends to have female leads.

There are...eight females in my social circle who are big fans of the Alien series (including my sister and myself). Do you think my own anecdotal experience is not representative of the norm?

Gender: One of the reasons I'm up in the air about the human/synth being male or female! Very difficult to make up my mind! I need to take a pole or something. lol!

I feel like it's almost cliche' to have a female lead(in the Alien series)...And after watching Walter...I'm really thinking of making the synth/human a male. Walter like.

Please please PLEASE write some fan fic!!! I'm seriously dying to read it.

I guess I would recommend male for the human/synth (but that's probably because I'm going through a bit of a Bishop phase right now. If Call was my character of the moment, I'd probably recommend female).

Plus, I guess, the whole feral, experimented-upon, super-human female archetype risks becoming a little cliche too. We may already have enough Ripley 8 and River Tam types as it is.

Or, maybe we don't, it's up to you! Whatever direction you go with your fan-fic, I'm sure I'll love it just the same.

2- How many trailers would you release and what would you reveal on the trailers.

Trailer 1 - Weyland Yutani office Mars replaying the message Elizabeth Shaw left and replaying the secret message sent to them by David, a person cast in shadow saying "It's about time we meet our makers," and have a close up to the screen they have facing them with the planetary bodies featuring LV-426

Trailer 2 - Song starts"Star shinging bright above you" Panning through space and celestial bodies. "Sweet dreams will seem to whisper I love you" Flash back to Daniels and Jacob on the covenant "Bird singing in the sycamore tree" flash of the image of the engineer roof from the head room in prometheus disintegrating, then Daniels dreaming of the horrific things David is doing to either her or the colonists like a dream then cutting to David humming and putting his hands over the hypersleep pod where Daniels is as he says "Dream a little dream of me".

Trailer 3 - A Juggernaut ship rising out of the center of Paradise square, with the Alien sound screeching. And an army of oval ships and the Juggernaught heading towards a very familiar celestial space Origae-6.

3- What demographic would be your primary target.

18+ Keeping it rated R we want all out violence and gore

4- Would you try to distance from the previous installment in order to appeal more to those who did not enjoy Covenant too much?

I would take on some constructive criticisms and hire better writers, try to do less CGI when practical effects are acceptable and view editing in a cinema as opposed to a 4K screen in an editing suite to make sure the audience will get the same experience as me.

5- How do you plan to entice the casual movie goer.

This will be the movie that is the prequel to Alien, so every Alien fan that is still invested in the franchise or at least the new comers will want to see it.

6- How do you plan to entice the fanbase.

The fanbase is split because all the other movies are pitched differently, Alien was a horror, Aliens was a army film, Alien 3 was a prison film, Resurrection was a film about cloning  and bio-weaponry. I would include all those themes in this one movie.

7- How would you make the character of the android grow on the audience.

Androids have always been a sure thing as the xenomorphs except in alien 3, David is still the devil but we can have an army of walter's come to the rescue.

8- Write down a short synopsis that will make everybody want to see this movie.

[The movie leading up to Alien would have all these things because the Weyland Yutani military division will have a reason to secure their assets created by david and retrieve the technology and knowledge gained from his work on planet 4, the horror aspect will be met with the works of David on the covenant crew and his perfect organism realised, the covenant will become a prison of sorts even after it lands on origae-6 with all the colonists david's captives, and the experimentation would definitely fill the gap of the ripley cloning. I suspect the wey-yu army may be made of many walters as it was a feature of the walter models, so more than one fassbender again? I would hazard to guess they won't want to kill off daniels as she has been set up to replace noomi rapace's character so Daniels would be the one to fight against david and his creations.]

Weyland Yutani has set about bringing their prized asset home to Earth and sent an army of space marines to secure their cargo on Origae-6, ahead of the fleet leaving planet 4 a familiar android pilots a juggernaught to go after the covenant. As he takes off an array of Engineer crafts follow close behind. What has befallen the colonists in hypersleep as David has been working on his singular task set by Sir Peter Weyland himself all those years ago. What terrors will await these seekers on Origae-6? In space no one will hear them scream.

I have a twist ending lined up already.

I can really picture that trailer! Wow! Did you read the novel? Because that "Dream a little dream of me" bit really ties in nicely to David's thoughts at the end of the novel.

Your synopsis sounds awesome, can you like...send this to Ridley Scott or something?? Can you write this up as a fan-fic??

WHAT IS YOUR TWIST ENDING??

Very interesting! Including the Spacejockey's chair is a nice touch. But the ending has to avoid being predictable. Everybody now thinks David is on the Spacejockey's chair, that is why that is not the right way to go. If it is an engineer or someone else, the reason behind them being there and the reason for the crash need to be hard to predict.

I can't reveal my twist ending, but it would be amazing. I might write a fanfic if I have the time.
