The art of Moebius similarity
Dark Nebula
StaffNeomorphFeb-27-2018 3:02 PMNot sure if this has been discussed before.
So this is from the book The art of Moebius.
Released in the 70's if I'm not mistaken.
It reminded me of lots of things.
Do you see what I see?
The humanoid:
The giant urn like structure
The surface
And for some reason, the flashback sequence from AC.
(the tentacles of black goo erupting from the Engineers)

MemberTrilobiteFeb-27-2018 3:36 PMInteresting. I don't recall this topic being brought up. I certainly see similarities. I am uncertain if I would have made the connection if viewed outside the forum. For instance, the original pic reminded me of Cordyceps:

MemberPraetorianFeb-28-2018 1:55 AMThe attire of the bald individual looks very.....Engineery lol
dk did you ever play the PS3 game The Last of Us? Their 'zombie' infected creatures were inspired and based from the ant virus Cordyceps. Scary shit.

MemberTrilobiteFeb-28-2018 2:48 AMIRaptus I have the game but have not had time to play it. Very frustrating.

MemberDeaconFeb-28-2018 2:53 PMNice Find..... Certainly does look like a Engineer inside a broken Urn.
So its very fitting within context to the Alien Franchise (Prequels)

MemberPraetorianMar-08-2018 7:24 AMExcellent work again Dark Nebula. The Moebius aesthetic is very similar to details and concepts seen in the films.
I believe the Moebius artwork is amazing and would love to see the aesthetic more....especially in the works of the Engineers.

StaffNeomorphMar-08-2018 1:59 PMYou're welcome Ingeniero, thank you for the images.
Art by Moebius is indeed amazing and colorful.
This one is from the unmade Dune film. Reminiscent of the Space Jockey

MemberPraetorianMar-09-2018 1:45 PMThat is another great comparison Dark Nebula.
We missed out on a Jodorowsky's Moebius Dune.
