Marvel ventures into the Alien universe this Wednesday, March, 24th, 2021, with the launch of a brand new comic book series set in the world of Ridley Scott’s sci-fi horror series; here's a preview of the issues...

Gabriel Cruz gave his life to Weyland-Yutani–In the case of an alien attack he barely survived, almost literally! Recently retired, Cruz is trying to patch things up with his abandoned son with the help of his friend, a Bishop-model android, but his re-entry into civilian life is not going smoothly…and his encounters with the deadly Xenomorph are far from over.

I prefer much more an Humanoid Queen than a Bug Queen. A Sentient Xenomorph Being absolutely terrifies me, in a good way.

A Xenomorph Queen with the intelligence of Queen Taramis, from 'Conan, The Destroyer', would be amazing.

I am NOT a Fan of that Queen idea... i think it depends on the Context.... the Problem is the Mythos/Origins has become Messed Up and in Limbo with Alien Covenant.

That being does look like SIL from Species thats crossed with HR Gigers Lilith. Which both are his Creation.

We see that David had draw some similar things... the the Monster Designers/Artists for AC had drawn similar (some used for Davids works). So David could have Dreamed about turning Dr Shaw in to similar and maybe has Plans for Daniels....

I think such a Female Entity could work depending on the Context.... but Alien Covenant had kind of Muddied the Waters of the Mythos.

So the Introduction of such a Species could come from a kind of Evolution from the Pathogen/Xenomorph, or a Experiment.

Maybe Ignoring Alien Covenant, they could have gone with the Original Idea for the Engineers that they had LOST the ability to Procreate and they had Discovered something they had HOPPED would gain that again... but it just LEADS to a Mutant Female like SIL from Species who could then have Provided the Precursor to the Xenomorph etc.

Or you had such a Species as being Ancient and Enslaved or Created the Engineers for a Purpose and they Rebelled and Overthrown these Ancient Beings... and some Engineers latter tried to Evolve themselves to become more like their OLD MASTERS etc..

But ALAS...

A Number of Years ago i came up with a FEW ideas for a ALIEN V that would continue from AR and have it where Ripley 8 was slowly Transforming into something like WHAT we see in this COMIC...

such a Story Arc and Gradually Evolution would require LESS of a Budget/Time trying to make Miss Weaver look like she did in the late 90's.  As if she soon started to Turn like Holloway was before he was Toasted then the Make-Up etc would HIDE her Age.. and she then Progresses more and more to like a SIL then the Make-Up would HIDE that we have a Ripley who looks in her 60's etc.

In first place, cheers BigDave, we are Alive. Second, David can create a Queen, his Queen. A Queen that reproduces in an hybrid way, half human, half Queen from aliens 1986. We want to watch the horror and feel repulse about every scene where the new queen appears. Possibly, we can watch it in the Alien fx TV series, or in the Marvel's Alien comics. I hope to watch something new in the Alien Universe very soon.

I dont mind such a Queen it depends on the Context and what Role/Origin it serves, as Opposed to just giving us something because it kind of looks COOL...  such as the IMAGE that setaverde had posted above.  As in i would NOT be much of a Fan of that.

By Context i mean if its given some Origin Story/Background that would FIT and make sense.

For example as PART of the Engineers trying to EVOLVE themselves, as maybe a Race who Created the Engineers.

Or a Human Hybrid... for example they could have Continued with a Sequel to Alien Resurrection and have Ripley 8 go and EVOLVE to similar. Or have it where they USE some of Ripley 8's DNA in a attempt to CLONE the Successful Clone but they get something like SIL.

A Missed Opportunity could have been that Dr Shaw awakened looking Similar, she becomes Horrified but David informs her that he has Evolved her so she can Survive... and that he has Perfected her and SHE may be MAD about it.. but then he could Inform her that she can NOW go and Create Life.

I suspect David had similar Plan... but likely Dr Shaw refused and ENDED up being Killed.  Who knows if he wishes to USE poor Daniels for similar or those Human Embryos.

Alien Just Revealed the True Cosmic Purpose of the Xenomorphs

Marvel continues to expand the mythos of the Alien franchise and now it has been revealed the Xenomorphs serve a larger, cosmic role.

BY SHAUN CORLEY
PUBLISHED 6 DAYS AGO

Warning: contains spoilers for Alien #6!

While Xenomorphs are regarded as ruthless killing machines throughout the galaxy, Marvel's Alien comic has revealed a deeper, more cosmic role for the creatures. In Alien #6, on sale now in print and digital, Gabriel Cruz learns the truth about his visions of 'the Woman in the Dark,' and it leads to a huge revelation about the Xenomorphs.

Earlier this year, Marvel launched a brand-new line of comics based on the Alien films. These comics have expanded the mythos, introducing the only person to ever survive being implanted with a Xenomorph embryo: Gabriel Cruz. While the embryo was inside of him, he had a vision of a horrifying figure he called 'the Woman in the Dark.' Years later, Cruz’s only son, Danny, leads a raid on a Weyland-Yutani facility in Earth orbit. Cruz is sent to the station to bring his son home, accompanied by a Bishop-model android. Cruz learns that the corporation was experimenting on captured Xenomorphs, hoping to weaponize them. Naturally, the Xenomorphs break free and wreak havoc on the station, and Cruz must escape the outbreak. While on the station, Cruz learns more about his vision from years earlier, and it leads to a stunning revelation about the Xenomorphs and their role in the universe.

Written by Phillip Kennedy Johnson, with art by Salvador Larroca, colors by GURU-eFX and letters by Clayton Cowles, the issue sees Cruz, Bishop and Danny’s girlfriend Iris try to escape the facility. Bishop approaches Iris, who grabs a gun and opens fire on him. Bishop seems to kill her, shocking Gabriel, as Bishop models are not permitted to kill. It is revealed that Iris is a rogue synth of unknown origin. She says that, thanks to Danny, Earth will become a "post-organic Utopia." Just as Cruz goes to finish her off, she tells him she has information about his visions. He presses her, and she reveals that humans were not the first organics to attempt to leave their solar system; when organics become "arrogant enough" for space-travel, they find "Prometheus' cleansing fire" waiting. Each species tries to first harness the fire, and then use it to augment themselves. Iris tells Gabriel that the Woman in the Dark is the unavoidable result of his species attempting to harness the powers of the Xenomorph.

Iris' beliefs about the Woman in the Dark aside, the revelation that the Xenomorphs are the "cleansing fire" of the universe is a huge one, hinting that the creatures have a much larger role in the cosmic scheme. This was a theme of 2012’s Prometheus, a prequel to the original Alien film, and this story serves as a callback to that movie. But while Xenomorphs have long served as a metaphor for human overreach and carelessness, their role in the fall of multiple spacefaring civilizations makes it clear that they're not just a hurdle for humanity, but a galactic test for any sufficiently advanced civilization.

The Alien comic just turned the Xenomorphs into the answer to the Fermi Paradox, explaining why organic species don't survive past leaving their home solar systems. This gives the Xenomorphs a cosmic role as a deadly test humanity is likely to fail like many civilizations before it - one that, should the human species fail, will remain to act as the extinction event for whatever new alien race happens across them next. Marvel continues their expansion of the Alien series with the revelation that the Xenomorphs serve a much higher purpose in the universe than originally thought - an idea that is sure to be expanded on as the comics continue.

I prefer the xenomorphs being bioweapons for an ancient war between the Engineers and whatever their enemy or enemies were

"xenomorphs being bioweapons"

100 percent agree.

"....sufficiently advanced civilization..."

Xenomorphs are hardly a threat to even 20th century humans....(Maybe unarmed ones).

Nukes, shotguns, logic traps would make short work of xenomorphs.

22nd, 23rd century tech!? forget about it.

Marvel is gonna have to step up their game.

Xenomorphs are the bioweapons of the Universe. They are used to Control the plagues born on planets and that spread across the galaxies, like US, humans. The Engineers are the Gardeners of the Universe, with the mission of wipe out the nasty Weeds, maintaining the order and the natural balance, as well, containing and stopping chaos.

Like US, Engineers had faced in the past an extinction event based on Xenomorph creation technology, Impossible to harness to their Will.

Every species, or subspecies, can face her own demise, because, the bigger and stronger they get, the bigger and stronger is the opponent.

Remember that every creation tends to destroy his creator.

300 years of xenomorph attacks and maybe as little as 100 humans have died?

To produce a xeno, you have to stick your head into the opening of an egg. It's just to tedious.

The spores from Alien:Covenant or black goo are great ideas and I would run with them.

If Covid 19 was neomorph spore based...then we'd get some action! Earth would soon become the planet of the xeno. Captain trips like.

Earth dealing with a billion neomorphs would be something I'd read.

I agree and i think, one way or the other (Marvel Alien Comics or Alien FX TV Series), that is what we are going to see. An horde of millions (billions) of Xenomorphs/Neomorphs commanded by something with the purpose of extinguish entire engineer subspecies spreaded across galaxies.

The nemeses of the engineers were their own creations and humans, as an engineers subspecies, have the same fate.

Playing God is synonym of extinction.

PS: there are only subcreations of something that already exists.

I Consider Comics as Alternative Cannon...... i will be doing more so with MARVELS work.  Mainly they would CONFLICT the Last Alien Movie (AC).

The Ideas could have WORKED for me.... IF say Alien Covenant had NEVER been Made.

"If Covid 19 was neomorph spore based..."

Well this would have been ME by NOW then ;)
