Science fiction thrillers have been accurately remastered for video game consoles, giving video gamers a chance to immerse themselves in the same, heart-pounding storylines as those produced for the big screen.

Now, there is an emerging trend for iGaming developers to latch onto this thirst for futuristic sci-fi scenarios by creating sci-fi themed slot titles that offer out-of-this-world experiences akin to the console action.

Adventures in outer space where heroes seek to battle other life forms are about as far removed from everyday life as it gets. Very few of us, if any, will be selected to be part of a colony ship that explores uncharted planets in the same way that Daniels, Chris Ora do. With that in mind, let’s take a look at some of the most popular sci-fi slot titles inspired by the 20th Century Fox Alien franchise, capable of transporting you to a date with prehistoric and alien life forms.

Jurassic Park franchise

The Jurassic Park sci-fi franchise remains one of the most popular in the modern era. Aside from the box office hit movies, the franchise spawned a host of official video and slot games, as well as popular theme park rides like the one at Universal Studios Hollywood.

One of the main reasons why slots like Jurassic Park and Jurassic World have captured the imagination of slot players is due to their immersive gameplay. They have become some of the most popular online slots because they fuse video game-esque features, with high-definition (HD) visuals and audio to create a console-like atmospheric experience, recapturing the same heart-stopping cinematic drama of the leading sci-fi movies like Alien: Covenant.

Cosmic Invaders

Cosmic Invaders is a sci-fi slot game that’s heavily inspired by movies like Alien: Covenant, as it involves mysterious and potentially dangerous alien creatures that lurk in deep space. The reels of Cosmic Invaders are designed to appear like you’re spinning the reels inside an eerie, futuristic spaceship, akin to Covenant.

You’ll find a host of flying saucers hovering above the reels, to make you feel like you are only ever one step away from being kidnapped by an unknown alien race. To top it all off, there’s even alien symbols on the reels, although these little fellas are (hopefully) designed to work in your favor!

Alien Hunter

Just like in the Covenant, the crew embarked on a mission to explore uncharted planets, Alien Hunter is another sci-fi slot inspired by Alien: Covenant, underlining the untold dangers and threats that lie in deep space.

The slots are designed to make you feel like you’re playing deep within the cosmos, at the cockpit of your spaceship, roaming outer space in search of aliens to take safely back to Earth, along with their riches, of course.

Astro Babes

Astro Babes may have more of a retro sci-fi feel, but there is certainly more than a hint of a nod to female space travelers like Daniels, who could be part of an Alien: Covenant sequel, and even Ellen Ripley from the original Alien movie of the six that are now in the series.

The backdrop of the reels makes you feel like you are playing in the thick of an out-of-this-world city on another distant planet. The chrome detailing helps to make you feel like you are sat in a futuristic spaceship, with many different Astro Babes capable of landing on the reels to help you on your way.

Mystery Planet

Last but by no means least, Mystery Planet is another video slot with a healthy nod towards the Alien franchise. Celebrating the plethora of planets within the universe that are yet to be discovered, Mystery Planet encourages its space slot travelers to make hay as quickly as they can before returning to Earth. The reels are set within the bleak, dusty surface of a mystery planet, with very little sign of life.

Although there are no signs yet of an Alien: Covenant-themed video slot, with the focus on a TV series of late not to mention the recent RPG game launched in 2019, these hit slots above should give you enough of your sci-fi fix to keep you going.

I'm guessing that the two embryos that David brings aboard the ship of Covenant are Royal Face huggers, meaning that Alien Queens will be created from them.

Also, I don't know why, but I'm guessing that David doesn't like the Covenant ship, so he goes back to the Engineer ship. Then he has a queen alien, it lays a bunch of eggs. Then he begins to fly it to Earth but he crash lands on LV-426, and hence that's how there are aliens in the ship in the movie, Alien.

My second theory is kinda eh, but I do believe that the embryos being Face huggers that will make queen aliens could definitely be true.

Thoughts? I could have missed something, I just saw Alien Covenant and I actually really liked it.
