It's likely that it is an aspect of the SJ's technology which made it's way into the Xenomorph biology later.

Other than Matchstick Men.. has Ridley Scott ever made a movie that wasn't rated R? Also, I believe the rating for this film was a source of conflict between Scott and Fox during its initial conceptualization; i.e. Fox wanted a PG-13 film to make more money, but Scott was adamant about the R rating.

well what is certain is that we will have the respective dialog between characters... but my big question is: can we see scenes fast and short of some of the creatures in this film?

I can't wait to see the new trailer, but I really hope the movie isn't PG-13! Cause we all know an "R" rating means that it's going to freaking "Rock!".

I really hope it does not get PG-13, but if it were getting an R rating than it will most definatly not hit the big screen here. . . Second trailer in february alredy? That would be really great but I think its almost to good to be true. They kept us hanging for a really long time with the first one.

Ok so we have the following: Alien: 2122 Nostromo Built: 2104 Prometheus: 2092 So 12 years after Prometheus the Nostromo was built. With barely more than a decade between the two I cant' buy the Nostromo being that much faster than the Prometheus so it falls back on different destinations or even multiple destinations. This would lend a bit of credence to the crew awakening to skeletal aliens on board the ship.

iv read that ridley scott states the last 10 mins of prometheus will turn into alien dna, so im guessing there won't be a sequel. i hope im wrong lol

Yes, but on the other side I would like that this movie was the prequel of the prequel of Alien the eighth passenger. In Prometheus an introduction to the world of the jockeys and the xenomorphs (ancestors) prototype versions... and in the sequel to the story of the derelict jockey and the xenomorphs...also do not know how much life will bring this new movie. and if the jockeys are creations of something more big?

I saw your link...this plot is somewhat old, but in fact to my I liked, while some did not like them the issue of the time travel. But I think that plot is a fake. PS: this plot does not explains well about the fall of the jockey, also in the trailer see Elizabeth Shaw survives and never reported to the jockey derelict... While in the trailer we see her with Vickers witnessing the fall of the SJ.

Perhaps there could be two "pre-Alien" films. That's not to say they would be directly linked like [list]Prometheus > Film After Prometheus > Alien[/list] as it looks like it will be [list]Prometheus > Alien[/list] But perhaps RS can/will make a second "pre-Alien" film like [list]Prometheus > Alien > Aliens > etc.[/list]                                    ^         Film After Prometheus > ??? (suppose someone else takes the reins from RS) What I'm getting at is that RS can make two films that are related to Alien, but these two films do not necessarily have to relate to one another. Think of a Quentin Tarantino film with its disjointed narrative--I think it would be possible to expand that narrative structure into more than one film. For example, the Film After Prometheus could take place during the events of Prometheus, but with a completely different cast in a completely different locale.

Ridley did say the last 10 minutes would look like Alien DNA, witch could mean that it would go right into Alien, but I am hoping that it sets up for a second "prequel". I know some movies do that but they all escape me now, please help me. Come on second movie.

Watch the slow version of the trailer. Then it will be easier to pause the action when you see the SJ scene come up. Who knows at this point who the guy is to the right ... but it better be good ... and not a disappointment!

Maybe it a space jockey without the biosuit.. Around the cocpit area on the floor it looks like there are cryochambers of some sort or the suits could be in there.

Perhaps it is the alter ego of Prometheus (demigod), a Titan hybrid between human and jockey...

yes, i also think the blue bald guy is not a mutated crew member of the Prometheus but either a Space Jockey from the "Derelict" ship who or maybe an adult version of a newborn from Shaw (assuming she gots pregnant by Holloway who has been infected before they had sexual intercourse). But that is all speculation. But it is really fun to speculate around this movie ^^

Let's hope the blue hue is actually the reflection of the blue light in the chamber. That being said, his skin looks very much like ours after days of watching youtube in our parents' basements. Or sadly, he's an Avatar with his braid cut off?

he does resemble the actor Logan Marshall-Green (Rayden Holloway) given the size of the universe there's more chance of it being human exposed to a bio-weapon, but the other side of the argument would say he a space jockey cuz of his size and the suit which would fit him already being there. i do think the first breed of alien would come from the blue guy as he has the same bio mechanical marking as the original alien, which ever body the alien grows in it copy's the host a little, alien 1 man, alien 3 dog, alien vs pred *shudders* alien with predators hair style... One thing about the 'Tall Man'- just wondering if that's an extra beefy muscle-mass of a neck he has as he's turning his head - or is it a high collar of some sort? Being a sculptor myself, if it's the former, then I think that neck anatomy is too bulky from a cosmetic pov.
