Thanks Ingeniero
I think Disney only cares about the cash. They don't give a rat ass about the fans. They want children as audience because every child counts for 2-3 additional tickets sold to parents, grandparents, etc.
But if the Alien franchise is not for Disney's target audience, why not sell it?
How much it would cost without the second head full of scars?
For this price I think it should lay some eggs too and they are selling only the bust...
it is really so amazing Movie. I really so enjoy it so much. Thanks for share.
Well, in my part of the world its Friday evening. So cheers to you all, my Scified friends :)

Rune perhaps you might know where one could find an AVP chess kit that's not ridiculously expensive?

Yes, the Quadrilogy DVD set is quite impressive and likely dirt cheap. It is 8 discs that fold out to over two feet long. Most importantly, it is all there content wise.

Good stuff for sure! Queen vs mortgage, food and a NECA figure? Hmm... I would do it if I could but I can't. Kudos to those who can though!
Xenos as weapons are the nuclear option imo. They always seem to get out of control.
Face huggers as hostage takers- that is a new idea and a pretty interesting one.
I don’t think the beast is cooked at all. As a main dish it has always been well garnished with bloody victims, and that’s about it. Well, there are quite a few things that have just not been served up that should be on the menu. Firstly, I would really, really like to see someone get their head ripped off by a facehugger, and that’s just the starter.
I would also like to see some tactical use of facehuggers, such as a form of hostage taking. Surely the advantage with a facehugger is that it renders someone immobile, and if a ransom is not paid within a certain time, pop goes the xeno, along with a ribcage or two.
My biggest gripe is the constant reference to the xeno being a weapon, whilst never really being shown how effective use of xeno deployment works. A weapon by definition requires tactics; otherwise it is just a thing like a shoal of piranha.
If the xeno is indeed a weapon, then is it a weapon devised as a deterrent, and if so against what? Is there an anti-xeno proliferation programme?
And another thing, If you blow into the face of a xeno will it be yours to command, and possibly use as close protection.
Xeno’s are also supposed to be intelligent, which makes me wonder if they could have ever developed their own technology given the right conditions for them. I think there are a lot of avenues that have just not been explored.
I could actually attempt to make a Prequel Broad Plot, Back Bones Draft....
My planned sequel Alien: Ascension would have taken place 2 years after David Arrives on Origae-6 but a actual literal direct Prequel to Alien and so sequel to Alien: Ascension would certainly deal with the after-math of the idea i had for a AC sequel.
So in effect by-passing a AC Pt2 and giving us a AC Pt3, much like how Alien Covenant was in effect Prometheus Pt 3.
I had planned to tackle the 3rd movie idea to connect a bit to RS and his War of the Worlds and so the USCSS Odysseus was a name i was pondering for a Mission to Origae-6 with a sinister agenda.
I would have introduced the Space Jockey touching upon the Giant/Cyclops Polyphemus and the act of his revenge.. i was thinking plays into the Space Jockey Fate.
Indeed IMDB seems to have changed the Title and now lacks any information on the Project.
What ever plans were in place as far as when Alien Covenant was released could well be changed by the time any project goes.. so the updated Synopsis of sorts "Film will cap his prequel series, leading directly into the events of Alien."
Gives nothing much away.. and we cant verify anything with IMDB, so we cant be sure if the 2 more Sequels is now just ONE movie.... But i think for Disney they would surely be looking at getting a ONE movie to connect to Alien.
And so we could see the Planned events for Ridley Scotts Alien Covenant Sequel, simply be By-Passed like the Planned Prometheus Sequel...
So while Alien Covenant just showed us arrive to David 10 years after Prometheus and not really cover in detail what happened... i feel the NEXT Alien Prequel could again By-Pass a majority of what the Alien Covenant Sequel would have done.
Especially how fans appeared to be upset at any prospect of a DAVID Part 2 with less Xenomorph.
I can see it now.... a future Synopsis
"The Crew of the USCSS Odysseus are on a journey to the Origae-6 Colony to deliver Supplies, unbeknown to them the missions true purpose reveals a terrible truth, and throws them head on into the aftermath of a unimaginable conflict"
The Sideshow one is Fantastic, same as a lot of the Hoy Toys figures, but they detail comes at a high cost.
So its nice that NECA can give us a decent attempt at detailed figures at a fraction of the cost.
They dont compare, but then we have the Price difference.
A Rolls-Royce Phantom VIII is better than a Ford Taurus, Lexus LS and say even a BMW 7 series... but some of these cars offer good value for money.
A Toyota GT86 is not as good as a Ferrari 812 but for the price difference the Toyota is not a bad car ;)
So when Neca make some decent figures for the $15-20 mark, while they are not as good or large as the Hot Toys $250-300 ones they offer those who dont have Hundreds of $$$$ something to collect.
We can certainly see they are the same Location (Prometheus and Alien Covenant Mountains)
Its thus interesting if Planet 4 Sacrificial Scene leads to those Engineers, and they are connected to us in some way.
I feel its a way for them to SHOW us the Audience there is a connection..... But its in a Easter Egg way.
I cant see how it was taken in any context to show that Weyland had Knowledge of Planet 4 at the time of Davids Creation and so over 60 years prior to Prometheus.
Maybe its just one of those things that is for us a Easter Egg, that confirms to us the connection, but its not in no way meant to show that Weyland had prior knowledge or been to Planet 4 (via a Probe of anything).
Thats just my interpretation though.
Regarding leaving Planet 4, i think it depends if we can take the other Ships in the Hanger as Canon, as this Scene was removed and it fits better if we accept there was no other ships on Planet 4.
I think David will be off to Origae-6, i think it makes sense for David to go down first and get some Black Goo and few Eggs from Planet 4 prior to his journey to Origae-6
I will safely assume years latter a Engineer Ship or Ships arrive at Planet 4 and then they will want to catch up and have a few WORDS with David and so they will many years latter be off to Origae-6 too
I like the detail... but i am kind of on the Fence... Part of me is thinking a Full Body Queen or just the Upper Bust/Head would be better.
"maybe they were designed for specific tasks."
Absolutely.... the Engineers were basically Ancient Alien Theory... a lot of people question how the Pyramids could be moved by Ancient Man and so Aliens did it lol
Edward Leedskalnin's CORAL CASTLE etc was a like Garden of many Stone Buildings and Arrangements that he positioned all on his own, and some QUESTION how?
Theories are did he gain Knowledge of the Ancients, like what the Egyptians used, or Knowledge from Aliens/Gods. Some speculate he moved the Stones using some kind of Anti-Gravity and Magnetic Device.
So Certainly the Engineer Power Gauntlets could be similar, i actually like the CONCEPT/IDEA that the Engineers maybe had NO WEAPONS well not really.
But their Technology that allows them to Move Objects, Create Great Monuments could be used as a Weapon like we see in Alien Engineers. and once again their Terra-forming Technologies could affect a Worlds Climate and Poles and thus could be used as a Weapon... just as Persay the GREAT FLOOD was used as a Weapon.
The Clues in Prometheus/Alien Covenant had led me to ponder the Juggernaughts and Urns/Goo are just a Creation Tool for Seeding Worlds... But a Tool that has devastating outcomes.. "sometimes to create one must first destroy"
And so any Seeding Technology that can Evolve/Create Life, that is infected with a Organism with Parasitical Tendencies could be used as a Bio-Weapon.
So indeed maybe the Engineers do not have Weapons as such, because they feel NO-NEED for them... Because they simply feel that their Creations will pose NO THREATS..
It is still Logical to think at some time these beings had been more Ancient like our Ancestors... so they needed some Weapons to HUNT for Food. Like Ancient Mankind, and maybe at some point they had conflict with some in their own RACE which leads to Evolution of Weapons... like Ancient Mankinds Creation of the Sword and Shield and then the Evolution of Weapons from this.
Unless... there is some RACE above the Engineers who passed on what was needed, and then we have to ask would such a Race who created the Engineers not have any kind of Weaponry?
@daliens
I agree with some of that, and indeed the Star Beast was more than a Bio-Weapon... We could have seen a complex Organism being found by the Engineers and Re-Engineered for the Black Goo and their Technology... But the route we have been shown is they are just a Product of Davids Experiments and Hybridization with Organisms created from the Black Goo.
It appears from Prometheus the Xenomorph was intended as a Bio-Weapon.... Alien Covenant now appears to more so show us this is the case.. But its open for RS to explore Davids Relationship with it and have it that David is interested in its creation and to Nurture and Evolve it.
Rather than David created it just to KILL humans.
@Gavin
Indeed i got the picture the Xenomorph was just some Hybrid Advanced Parasitical Organism, i would like to think they are not as Basic as Space Ants, but they are far from as Advanced as say a Civilization.
Also i agree, exploring some Malevolent Agenda and Psychology to the Beast could make it more interesting, rather than it being something that relies on Instincts to Survive.
@Lone
Certainly, i can see some of your reply is touching on what Gavin also said. "Yes, it’s lifecycle seems horrific to us, but he’s not evil per se, he just goes about his day to day business of procreation"
So i think the whole Psychological Aspect behind what does the Xenomorph think/feel, does it have goals and ambitions... This is what separates many Organism's on Earth from Humans.
Its a question of is the Parasitical Life Cycle or Implying some kind of Cultured Intersect behinds its actions going to be more HORRIFIC
A Predator as far as a Spider, a Wolf, a Lion or a Shark etc, only sees its Prey for Survival... It never considers how its Actions could be harmful to its Prey... Humans can make a choice when hunting... do i need to kill that Deer, can i live off the Fruit and Veg... We can have regret/remorse for killing and especially our own kind... Nearly all other Organisms dont possess this.
Would having the Xenomorph have a similar Psychology to a Human make it more Terrifying? Or again too Human? It depends how its handled i suppose.
"The Black Pathogen, as presented in PROMETHEUS, appeared to be a masterstroke, allowing for a Morb origin lesson and a melting pot of endless permutations"
Indeed, and i totally agree with Prometheus as far as how you saw it, RS had even said its NOT a Alien Movie, it was meant as something to TIE the Space Jockey Race to the Franchise, but a number of Fans will always want association with the Xenomorph and its Origins and expected Prometheus was going to do this.
Those Engineer anti-gravity gloves from Alien: Engineers are indeed interesting, maybe they were designed for specific tasks. For example, carrying and placing ovomorphs/urns without disturbing them so they remain intact. And they might come handy in combat.
I can imagine a scenario where a xenomorph jumps from above to attack the Engineer only to be stopped in mid-air and snapped like a twig by the Engineer who wears these gloves.
"BigDave my apologies if I came across defensive"
No problem, you never came across as that at all ;)
I have never seen those TV Series, i think i seen a few Firefly Episodes... oh i get you now.... you like things that leave the ending open?
I do think some Mystery would be nice, but i think there is a certain selection of the Fanbase who want all the answers. I think Prometheus had that Balance, it offered enough, without Spoon Feeding the Answers.... A Sequel would have continues with some answers but not Spoon Fed anything.. But Sadly FOX felt most fans wanted Xenomorph Answers and to see the Beast again.
@I Moon Girl
Totally Agree with everything, the beast is not so cooked, but showing it more would surely just relegate it to a T-800 or Space Jason etc.
@cuponator3000
Indeed i think there are ways to explore things connected to the beast, give a fresh take on it, the Neomorphs for example. Because showing the Traditional Xenomorphs has been over done, and now we know its Origins, and how its now a Creation by David, the only interesting thing about the Xenomorph NOW.. is HOW/WHEN/WHY it ends up on LV-426 and to explore Why David has a interest in WHY create it but (AC answers a lot of this) and then to explore IF/WHY the Engineers have a interest in Davids Creation.....
But we still could explore LV-223 why it was created, HOW/WHEN/WHY those Experiments and Black Goo, and we see there are many many ways we could see Related Organisms created from this Process.
They to to explore ways to Evolve/Experiment the Xenomorph or show alternative future or past versions of it, that differ from the Alien Franchise 1979-1997 Versions.
THEY could have explored something more Alien as far as the Xenomorph Origins, something very Giger-esque... but this appears to not be the case NOW..... HOWEVER... we could explore something more Giger, if they explore the Origins of the Pathogen or first Xenomorph Ancestral Organism it created.
I have part started various things over the years, all incomplete many lost but i have not had anything published. So its just Fan Fiction, i am kind of the person who can have good and many ideas who can brain storm them into a Broad Synopsis, Basic Outline, but then i just never seem to finish them as far as a A-Z Story or Draft ;)
You're welcome Ingeniero, thank you for the images.
Art by Moebius is indeed amazing and colorful.

This one is from the unmade Dune film. Reminiscent of the Space Jockey

Concept art of the shattered Engineer statue

This will probably never happen, and if they did I don't want to think about how much it would cost, but I hope that they make a 1:1 scale bust of the Queens head
@IRaptus thanks for reply and yes that is the rite king sideshow statue on the vid and yes i find it exspencive to it is also quite big like the size of 2 small tv's.
And there was a comic that had a flying queen on it and that king is ugly i know of a better one pic will be on this reply if you can share the link to the petition i would be very greateful and even sine unless you have lol.
@Ingeniero yea thanks for reply i hope they do but i only have 9 supporters at moment on the facebook pages i am on called Alien Collectors and Xenomorph Supremacy i see a lot of posts about the alien king and how people like it.
so i am surprised i haven't gotten a lot more votes by now as it will require a lot more if you can share and pass it on and sine unles have alreadyi would be grateful.
Excellent news daliens. They created a beacon that says "what now?!" all day long for Disney to answer.
Amazing bust. Thank you for sharing David Gelmini.
Thank you for creating the terrain map above S.M for the surveyed portion of 16EG14. Excellent work.

Do you believe this is the same mountain shown in Prometheus and Alien: Covenant S.M?
Covenant Ship on Planet 4
"With no clues of this being there at the time of the Covenant Mission, it left me to CONCLUDE only TWO explanations.
1) Its a Module that ends up on the Surface after the Events of Covenant, but WHY? Does David take down one Module and then takes down Daniels or/and Tennessee? so they are stranded?
2) Was this maybe a extended part of the Daniels Scene in her Room looking out of the same kind of Room/Window into Space when she recalled the Flash Back with her Husband Bronson? Did this have a longer scene where at the end we see them talk about the CABIN ON THE LAKE and she is then Day Dreaming looking out the Window and we see that Location which fades to changing to the view outside of her room on the Covenant?"
I believe the shot with the red record is connected BigDave.
I think David brings the Covenant down to 16EG14 or also known as Planet 4. The weather lightened up when Tennessee began his descent to rescue the remaining crew and most likely stayed calm for the Covenant to land. Then whoever leaves (David, Walter, or both) does so in a juggernaut under this theory.

This departure from Planet 4 would be similar to Dr. Shaw and David taking the juggernaut from LV-223 years earlier.

Not much to update us from IMDB chli. Thank you for the topic.
I do like the Ridley Scott quotes on the sequel in the opener, below.
"a group of Engineers who had been absent from their home planet when David destroyed it will seek revenge on him"
I agree on the Engineers content Thoughts_Dreams and I expect a dramatic end for our vain synthetic David.
I wonder...will Walter eventually kill David?

"Did you find the end of your rainbow?", said the green-faced mountain.
Most welcome Ati.
We are using HBO's offer in the same exact way I Moon Girl. Rock on.
I noticed that Karine Oram didn't say "you better not be smoking" to Ledward when he took a break in the HBO version. I guess Karine scolding Ledward for a splif break was too much to bear for the HBO audience.
dk is correct and the dvd new version of the Quadilogy is inexpensive too if you don't want to spring for the Blue-Ray.

Excellent work again Dark Nebula. The Moebius aesthetic is very similar to details and concepts seen in the films.

I believe the Moebius artwork is amazing and would love to see the aesthetic more....especially in the works of the Engineers.

Did you get your books, are you happy with them?
Thanks, Ati
Looking at how Disney managed the Star Wars, reviving Luke Skywalker and Han Solo and princess Leia, I think they will bring back Ripley too in case they will ever bother to pay for another Alien film. That has to be PG 13 most probably.
I start to feel embarrassed to ask for a new Alien film from Disney...
