lol ahhh yes "Sydney Peppermint" they first called it. They thought Koala's were getting hammered or stoned off it for a long while there. As it turns out, they sleep alot because there is bugga all nutritional value in eucalypts...smells good though
Have you heard the myth of the Drop Bear by any chance....
Dark Nebula Actually, the teeth gave it away upon closer inspection!
ninXeno426 Nice to see you around brother!
dk I understand. Well, imdb is not really a forum, and it definitely does not have your tastes in mind. You can use it in that way if you deliberately go looking for movie lists that correspond with your personal taste. That is why I call IMDB a tool: you can use it in many ways, including your way, which is just searching info on actors. It is not a place where you can interact with other people like on here, but I have a special attachment to it because it is one of the first websites I ever used.
Double post
Its the Engineer (or lord Engy as I called him)

This is the extended image of him where I just extended his head because in the original gif version he was missing half of his forehead.
joylitt With respect, I don't wish to seek a site that has my tastes in mind if that makes sense. I cannot emphasize enough that I trust forum members more than other sites. Sure, I could create an account and mingle- get to "know" members, but I don't have the time or interest. I am a happy camper right here. Sometimes it is cool to jump into a movie on a whim- love it or hate it- without hearing what others have to say about it. That said, I will ask members for opinions on things and I have not been disappointed on guidance.
dk haha... well you need to know where to look... you can find users with similar tastes to yours. While browsing lists made by other people, I have been able to discover really good movies I had no idea existed. To me, IMDB is a marriage between the critic and the user scores from Rotten Tomatoes (nobody prevents professional critics from contributing as well). In a way, it is also like wikipedia, because you can interact with it, fix mistakes, etc. But this latest chage they have made has the potential to render this up to this point uselful tool useless.
IRaptus I didn't know that fermented eucalyptus was a thing for koala bears!
Dark Nebula Merry Christmas! Thank you! Who wears the shades?
I only use IMDB for referencing actors with movies. For reviews it seems like a crap shoot but I will check out Rotten Tomatoes at times. Even then, it seems like reading Yelp reviews from self proclaimed "foodies" who are probably self important people with smart phones who like to take picture after picture unwrapping a "hand crafted" burito. TBH, I trust this forum way more than other sites. Sorry if I took you on a weird trip to elaborate my point.
This is how the users reviews are sorted out for both "Alien Covenant" and "Star Wars The Last Jedi" on imdb:
Merry Christmas everyone! And happy new year.
Here's a gift card I made back in 2015

Ah- the Ozzy Man! LOL- the motorcyclist looks like the Engineer wondering what he wrought!
Link is not working. Ah- you got it now!
Meanwhile in my country we have our own version of AVP going viral (yes it is Ozzy Man reporting again)
IRaptus I didn't know you lived in my country- oops!
So many good stories. Hopefully they can find their way to streaming services. The so called silver screen doesn't have to be the end all and be all. Machiko could be really good with some support.
sadly yes, we like to burn as much coal as we can here thanks to prehistoric power systems and rich fat f$cks and big companies keeping the politicians paid well to keep it that way
IRaptus It's all good. Do the laws in your country allow burning the coal that will be delivered to your stocking?
All good man. Thanks for trying. The sentiment is the same! Link re established :)
Interesting video, but it doesn't account for the Runner clearly seen eating in Alien 3. Teeth have a purpose.
Sorry dk i think i wrecked your youtube link :-/
This interesting theory pops up from time to time whenever we discuss lifespan and nutrients of the xeno. Instead of requiring external nutritional support from its environment the xenos "acid blood" works more as a biochemical energy source bypassing the need for food/water. But like a battery it depletes, giving the xeno's a limited lifespan.
To me this sounds more like a perfect biological weapon. An organism that fuels itself, rapidly repopulates parasitically, and then dies off after it has decimated an ecosystem.
joylitt Nice!
That reminds me. Someone sent me a gift and it seems an appropriate display right now.

Her story fits so well into both franchises. She is a flawed character weighed down by the dishonourable suicide of her father, she never really fit in with humans of the yautja young blood.
Always the outcast anti-hero
red0guy agreed! I always liked the original Hunters Planet cover armour she wore.

Image 5 reminds me a bit of this:

David hands the useless flash drive to the guard but decides to be vague in case things may serve him later.
"It could be everything or nothing, Sir. At any rate, it is yours. What is our destination?"
Michelle and Dave, please add me (and DK) to the preread/testing group once you get the lead writing role. That would be fun.
The Machiko story would make a fine series!
Spearfish You might be right. It has been suggested in more than one thread that BigDave and Michelle should be hired as consultants for the future of the franchise.
Agree. It's funny if you are a math/logic minded person, which I think most on this forum might be...
Each film sends us on a vector of thought that is not pointed at the next film. So, with the time between films it allows the true fans to run so far ahead along that vector that we are upset when the film arc takes the proverbial 90°. I would bet we are dealing with a right brain director with a left brain fan base.
Danzilla93 Agree. Pics 3 and 4 have that blend of sexy and disgusting Giger may have appreciated.
Going the Netflix route is more of a long term way of thinking, It could really open up the franchise and go different directions instead of waiting for years to see a movie that ultimately disappoints according to the numbers. Times have changed.
The beast is not cooked but the fan service Deacon is.
I was struck with the notion that the engineers on that planet basically took an oath to sleep until needed to destroy stuff. So when he was woken up he did what he should and killed, starting with david. These are extraterrestrial kamakazies. So trying to speak with him was probably not a good idea, as they would likely not put their "Einstein" in cryostasis just to kill worlds.
Yeah I don't think anybody is going back there. Unless there is the need to retrieve more vases.
