I checked and that picture is 240 x 220 that may have something to do with it also because I noticed the limit is now 200 x 200 I think, not sure if this applet will resize it for the right size...try editing the pic to 200 x 200 if it still doesn't work. Or just let me know if it does not and I will resize it for you.

For example, it may be this: [b]http://s1082.photobucket.com/albums/j366/plinny1984/space-jockey.jpg[/b]. On Photobucket, you should be able to select the direct URL, BBcode UIRL, etc.. what you want is the Direct URL.

Are there any hosting sites other than photoboucket I can throw in the the original post since not everyone has a place they store photo's on the net?

I can confirm 110% that Biomechanic's method for using pics from facebook works. Biomechanic › Posted 12/6/2011 You can use a facebook picture. If you have firefox it is easy just go to your photo then right click on it and then click "view image" from the menu. This should take you to a page with just your picture on it. Copy the url from the address bar from that page.

This also works in Chrome. Instead the right click drop down menu shows "Copy Image URL"

That has reminded me of something else. In the Alien 3 novel, the very last words are, "This is Ripley, last surviving member of the Nostromo, signing off" If i remember correctly, it was a transmission picked up by the shuttle console thingy where Ripley got Aaron to scan her and they found the Queen embryo. Now how could the shuttle have picked up a transmission that was something like 60-100 years old? (i'm not sure of the exact timeframe between the end of Alien when the transmission was sent out and the end of Alien 3 when it was picked up) I could be totally falling down the rabbit hole here but an interesting thought none the less.

we do not know how long she was in space for and adrift again, so maybe the transmission was just replaying itself inside a broken shuttle a long long time after it was first picked up by it. we were never given a time frame for how long Newt and Hicks and Ripley were up there this time.

I know that Burke tells Ripley in Aliens that she was in hypersleep for 57 years. All this business about transmissions and distress signals has got me thinking, I dont think Ripley, Newt & Hicks crashed on Fiorina Fury 161 by accident, I think they were sent there somehow by Weyland Yutani. And how the company get to Fiorina so quickly? I hope Ridley Scott decides to do Alien 5, it would hopefully answer questions that Prometheus cant.

Defenitely the SJ head or helmet you can determine the shape. If it's an egg who is laying the egg. This thing is not suppost to be Alien driven until the last 8 minutes. So no xenos or eggs till very late in the movie and by then you would expect most of the crew to be history.

You're right, case in point is to watch the teaser trailer for Episode 1 for Star Wars and then watch the movie...

I sure hope the actual soundtrack score will match up to the atmospheric tone set by the music used during the 'leaked' 1st teaser... It's up there with some of the best trailers ever, and we haven't even seen it properly yet!

That's true Spartacus, a good score can really heighten the scare factor. This particular music seems to be the antithesis of what everybody was expecting, me included, (low key) and is very threatening, intense and powerful implying a literally hard-hitting, violent premise. Wether this premise is indeed set in the trailer and will play out in the film and 'scare the living s*** out of us' remains to be seen.

I always thought too that Labert was interferred with possibly raped. This would fit in with some of Gigers work if you look carefully at it. Also I read somewhere that the original plot in Alien was all based around Alien regeneration not eggs and that it was Cameron introduced the egg concept. If this is the case there will be no eggs to be sceen in prometheus. This would mean some pretty gruesome scenes which Scott has hinted at.

Hi micro I agree with everything you said there except about the eggs. Firstly, I want to say I am not biased and it makes no difference really if eggs exist or not. I didn't think we would see eggs when I first heard about the movie but I think we are seeing evidence there are eggs in the leaked/official pics. However, there does not need to be a queen for there to be eggs, Eggs were in the original Alien and the originally idea was that the xenomorphs turned certain victims into eggs as part of the alien life cycle. Ridely restored the concept when he added back the deleted scene where Dallas is being turned into an egg in the directors cut release. I think the idea of a queen is going to be quietly undermined because it wasn't the original intention of the originators.

Thinking about it maybe you're right, maybe "eggs" is the wrong term for what they are. Were they called eggs before Cameron's movie? I guess Dallas was being made into a spore sac. The spore being a facehugger. Ha but I won't dare even try to convince the queen's loyal subjects that there are no eggs in alien just spore sacs.

Well as Xenos dont actually need to have sex to reproduce I dont see how or why an Alien would need/want to have sex with a human woman anyhow... The scene in Alien simply shows its tail moving up between Lamberts legs then cut with screams and her face in pain then her body is found in a strange possition after having been killed. There is only a suggestion of sex because of the time in which the Alien takes and the method it uses in toying with her and ultimately killing her. Perhaps cocooning can only take place once or twice per Alien and once say two humans have been cocooned the Alien simply waits and kills for the joy of it. Who knows, its another Alien mystery.....

I think it will spawn an extended universe weather intentional or not. I also think a lot of hard core fans of say Aliens and Alien vs Predator are going to be stark raving mad about how this film rewrites the alien universe. I am not sure there will be sequels to this but maybe prequels.
