"According to the Weyland-Yutani Report, Dr. Shaw's classified transmission was in 2094."
This Signal may be the SOS Dr Shaw left at the end of Prometheus, Questions were always raised how she could do this, as the moment she sent this was during her journey to the other Temple/Hanger with Davids body... but this was a Voice over... and so its no exact way to say for sure that Dr Shaws SOS was sent from the Buggy/ATV while she was heading to find another Engineer Ship, or it happened prior where she may have used something in the wreckage or the Life Boat.
The Date was Jan 1st 2094, and so the SOS was sent 4-5 Days after Dr Shaw had recovered Davids Body.
As far as the signal in Alien Covenant, again i would assume it was a recording when David and Dr Shaw was preparing to leave.

Or a similar event just prior to David putting Dr Shaw into Cryo-sleep.
Again we cant rule out it being later on, as some pointed out Dr Shaws movements looked like she was in a rush or Panic, which then the singing of the Song must have been to Calm her Nerves.
But then we have to Logically think at what point could Dr Shaw had attempted to Pilot the Ship in a Panic? The only time i could think of is.
1) After the Crash, either soon after or days/weeks, but Dr Shaw attempted to get the crashed Juggernaught Airborne... this could be possible.
2) The Juggernaught did not Crash, and Shaw found out at some latter point what David was up to, or something else that lead her to try and escape in the IN-TACT Juggernaught and she ended up crashing it instead. This is less Plausible but only if we take on board that the Docking Mother Ship and Juggernaught had a Altercation which indeed Wayne Haagg had mentioned it had.. and we can see in one scene the Docking Scorpion Ship Crashed.
Everyone, thank you for your comments.
'i like the Origae-6 one as it looks to me like a Engineer Space Station that has been destroyed and landed on the Surface...'
Agreed, beyond doubt, we see ruins...
trokanmariel - Interesting!
As I see your question:
Planet 4 equals to Hell.
The ship Covenant is Paradise.
Ricks and Upworth have the modern role of Adam and Eve. We see their sin so they have to be punished.
David and his son, the protomorph enters Paradise/Heaven - they are the Satan and the Snake. They are bringing death...
Why are there three of this topic?
Indeed that last shot Ingeniero is something from one of the TV Spots where we first saw the Take Me Home Song, and it left many wondering how this plays into the Movie.
I assumed the only Logical Explanation that leads to No Plot Holes etc, would be that Daniels would be in her Room Playing the Song, looking out her Window into the Stars... and then thinking of her Loss of Jacob, and then we get the Flash Back Dream in New York and then we go back to her on the Covenant where the view out of her Window is now across a Lake... I.E the view in question in the last image, before the Lake Fades into Stars..
This to me would feel like it would have fitted, and while yes the Location actually appears to be on Planet 4, this could just be a coincidence... well something thats not meant to connect.. much like the Mountain and Lake in the Opening Scene of the Movie in the White Room is the same Lake/Mountain at the Start of Prometheus.
But this... does not mean that Weyland etc had been to the place or had knowledge of the Place where the opening of Prometheus took place or indeed if it is Paradise/Planet 4 that the company had knowledge or had been there at that point in the movie (Year 2025).
And so this shot is maybe the same... its just there its not playing no important part or significance, but it does not Stop Speculation of how it could... i think Prometheus and Alien Covenant are Poorly worked on for such things they add like these, and the Mural and Fresco, and things in Davids Lab if they are all there without any thought to how they actually are LITERALLY connected...
But again this does not stop Speculation on any of these, even if speculating on things that are not meant to be as significant leads on down the wrong path... its still fun...
And indeed a explanation could be that David goes back to the Surface..
I mean we have to look at it Logically, what would David do? What would he need?
Once he has the Covenant Crew Tucked up nicely in Bed... well Daniels and Teneseee, then David is Free to do what ever he wants.. he can head to Origae-6, or any place..
With maybe just Two Face Huggers we have to speculate what options he has apart from infect TWO Hosts and then rely on the Procreation Methods of the Xenomorphs to Produce more Eggs.
Any would be Scientist who has spent time experimenting on the Life of a Planet, that now has no Life, or not much... would surely want to take some of the Tools (Black Goo) that no doubt played a big role in his experiments.. and take this Substance with him to Origae-6 so he can potentially experiment with what ever Life (if any) that World has.
And also allow him to evolve and cross-breed his Face Hugger Results on the Covenant.
So indeed IF David has no BLACK GOO at the end of Covenant, it would make sense for him to go and get some, HOWEVER.. the Shot in the last image is of a Room Module on the Covenant and looking how the Ship looks, to me it looks like it was not suited to Land on the Surface as One Whole Ship.
I assume the Lander used to rescue the Crew would be used to load individual Modules that are connected and make up the Covenant, and Transport them down to the Surface to Assemble them.
Once all Modules are down on a Surface then maybe the Ships Reduced Size could then Land?
But if David was to go back to Planet 4, i would assume all he would need would be the Lander... but then thats not to say the Lander is the only one of its kind or if so, that the Lander would not have a Module loaded onto it prior to departing to the Surface.
Lawrence of Arabia - This is awesome, I have never heard about him and his versions. Thank you for sharing the link!
Ive not seen either of them... i will have to try and find some time to do so.
I had seen the Gift-bearer Prometheus Edit and that was well done.
Lawrence of Arabia cool, can't wait to watch it!! Thanks for the share.
Nobody mentions that Star Wars 8 is before us :), but I don't expect too much from it. :D
And Blade Runner 2049 arrives in October!
I liked Ghost in the Shell very much.
I feel as you do, never really been a big fan of action films myself but John Wick just nails it. The story of losing his wife then his dog (have such a soft spot for dogs) and being this ultimate badass was compelling, mix that in with some very nice set pieces makes for a great experience. Was a bit skeptical going in but glad I did :) Can't wait for Chapter 3 to drop.
Awakening is gonna be mind-blowing, I just know it.
Thank you for the praise I had wanted to do my own drawings of the xenomorph and expanded lore for a while but lacked the proper equipment. happy to be adding to the collection of fan art.
I always had a feeling that the xeno had to be older then David or at least the original incarnation of it had to be.
I always liked the concept of engineers worshiping xenos since in HR Giger's original work had pale humanoids worshiping or in the presence of bio mechanical terrors.
Thats also very interesting regarding the "third party", so the Alien could be older than the engineers as well?
Most of the Prometheus sequence in the Weyland-Yutani Report looks like the intelligence was recovered from helmet feeds.
I can only assume in the 2090's, after developing the technology to travel many light years, that a helmet can send out a signal. And along with that signal goes everything that the helmet (or network of helmets) feed picks up and records for mission data. This may explain how Dr. Shaw was able to send out the classified message to corporate.
There are so many good details in the report PerfectOrganismPerfectCast, some of which is clearly canon but some details do not reconcile as canon because of proofreading errors. Very frustrating. Those critical of it have items to support their judgement.
Dr. Shaw left LV-223 in 2094 which was less than 40 light years from Earth. Any signal sent in 2094 from that area would be picked up by the frontier network within a few years.
Only if the xenomorph was in the mood.
And your atmosphere processors are great.

Great fog...it's all beautiful work.
I just watched A Ghost Story, I feel it was weird as first, but when it gets to the middle, things start to get very interesting. I was speechless when the credit rolls.
You work is incredible IIapagokc.
One man, stands alone looking into the abyss...then he decides to create Alien: Hope for the future.
I bring my hands together in repeated clapping fashion for this man.
@Ingeniero Is that report canon? If so, that would be the best explanation, in my opinion.
Good job Lawrence of Arabia. Thank you for finding this and sharing. I saw Derelict and loved it.
Great drawing Jeri.theSOB and thank you for sharing it.
From what Ridley Scott has said, the black goo mutagen (xenomorph life cycle) was harvested from a 3rd party by the Engineers.

David 8 seems to have woken up something (xenomorph embryo below) long asleep that began with the Engineers before him and originating with someone else before them.

So, it also seems like David 8 brought home to the Engineers something that was lost over time in their newly timid culture.

The Engineers worshipping the xenomorph (mutagen-based organism) is not too far from what is depicted in the mural below.

According to the Weyland-Yutani Report, Dr. Shaw's classified transmission was in 2094.
David 8 propping up the Dr. Shaw hologram to repeat may have been how he goes fishing for thousands of souls with the hologram/song used as bait.

I have to agree with you AdamPD regarding the bursting of the below organism from Dr. Shaw's abdomen. This would be advanced applications horror viewing.

I still believe that David 8 brought the ship down to the surface of Paradise so black goo may be in ample supply BigDave.

@AdamPD I believe some people have tried to translate it, but I can't recall if made out any real words or such.
@TheXenoneoprotomorph Whoa, is that an actual find/line or did you make that up?
You operate with surgical precision Dark Nebula. Excellent examples.
I hadn't seen the Engineer child drawing yet (I'm trying to catch up) and this really was a fine addition.
Please allow me just one more tribute below.

This dude was a true champion.
There's also an illustration of an engineer child.

Since there were females I knew there would be engineer kids. When David was walking among the corpses I noticed one corpse is much smaller than the other corpses.

Ok, I can't wait one more day.
Can anyone please tell me what year the Covenant mission left Earth based on the Alien: Covenant Origins novelization?
Thank you.
I think it can be said in all versions Ati that Michael Bishop was very much a hybrid...and hard to say where cybernetics stopped and humanity began with the work he had done to his body.
Here is a description from Matt Hatton jdvyne regarding the female Engineers David 8 incorporated into his studies.

The Refuge is great. Thank you Ati for such great examples of concept art.
I agree BigDave regarding Black Bone image. I also really like the giant humanoids built on either side of the structure of the Proto City.

Kinda reminds me of a bat with the wings like that.
I always assumed the trilobite was going to burst out of her abdomen, but perhaps it was deemed too gruesome? lol
I never understood why it was classed as a distress call in the first place, I mean it was someone singing.
And if you're going to send a distress call, do you record yourself singing a song while pressing a bunch of buttons? or do you record a message saying I need help, evil android killed millions, planet is a bio hazard, please come with biosuits and get me!
I too am fascinated by the alien language, both spoken and written.
The engineer speaking scene was my favourite scene in the Prometheus film, even if it was cut, it really added to the atmosphere, because that engineers voice was deep and godly sounding.
Was there ever any translations of the writings on the walls and urns?
Lawrence of Arabia, I'm glad you have John Wick 2 in your top 5! I somehow almost forgot about it! I saw it with a roommate when it came out and LOVED it and then went back home and watched the first one. I am not a humungous lover of action films and series, so John Wick is definitely my favorite of the spy/action movie genre(s)
1) Alien: Covenant - Number one for my love of the Alien franchise! I do think it's a good movie too, so it deserves the spot.
2) Get Out - Probably the highest quality tentpole film I have seen this year!
3) Baby Driver - Love the style, design, and the actors chemistry! A very fun movie.
4) It Comes At Night - A dread inducing film that was unfortunatley mismarketed.
5) War for the Planet of the Apes - A great closer to a pretty great trilogy!
Honorable mentions (no particular order): mother!, Spiderman: Homecoming, Wonder Woman, Logan, Annabelle, IT, John Wick 2.
