Love SciFiAlien Earth Season 2 NewsOnly 2 episodes left in Alien: Earth season 1! Watch a preview for the next episode!

The two pictures above:

Is that the husband of the doctor? Boy did he propose to the wrong woman.

I already commented on that boring, never ending scene with Wendy, who is now Marcy again, where she made stupid mouth sounds at the creature that seem to go on forever. Writers please.

The scene of her making stupid mouth sounds with the "baby alien" was long, drawn out, and boring. I wanted to scream. Come on writers.

I wouldn't be surprised maybe like after 10 years where AI is phenomenally advanced and we may see a very believable Ripley comeback or make a cameo.

Not talking about the show. I mean your complaints that nothing makes sense or it's really repetitive. I believe you're more of a casual fan that likes two maybe three movies

Agreed, bringing her back would be like when they brought Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker in the prequel trilogy and totally eroded so much of his character's aura. Seems to be the Disney trend though to try and capitalize on our nostalgic attachments to these characters. I'm all for creating new stories and introducing new characters.

Actually it is. Been a fan since Alien. Enjoy science fiction. Maybe the show is just in it's infancy and needs development.

Showing ones feet to a Japanese person is disrespectful and insulting. That is why the boy genius did it with such pleasure on his face. No, I am not Japanese and if I am wrong, please correct me. Wendy, suddenly isn't Wendy? Now, she's Marcy? Hope they rid the series of all of them for season 2. They were a seque and now on to season 2 and hopefully better episodes.

malex234Alien: Earth ForumEpisode 6 – The Fly Spoiler Discussion

Episode 6 was not as exciting as the previous one but it did open doors (literally) for a lot of bad things to happen in the near future.   Talk about a bad day!  Poor Arthur Sylvia  - first his wife doesn't back him up on the morality of wiping Nib's memory, then he gets fired, then he leaves the fly's door open, and then he gets facehugged.  Can't get much worse.   I do have some questions that I hope to see addressed in the future.  At the arbitration meeting between Prodigy and Weyland -Yutani why didn't  Ms. Yutani raise the issue of the sabotage of the Maginot by Boy?  Did Morrow not tell her about that, or is she saving that issue for another day?  That certainly would have had an impact on the outcome of the arbitration as Boy could no longer play the innocent "victim".    Another issue which probably underlies the whole show is whether or not the Hybrids really are "human" or is this really just a "Total Recall" type memory transfer situation?  Wendy aka Marcy seems to be questioning whether she is really human and maybe pondering if she wants to be human.   It seems Wendy is identifying more with the creatures than with people which calls into question the rationale of the hybrid experiment.     To me the whole point would be to transfer whatever it is that makes you uniquely you into a better body.   I guess I'm talking about the transferring soul and not just the mind, but maybe they only can transfer the memories.  Would you really want to live forever as something other than human?  It seems to me that this whole Prodigy project is going south fast and I believe the cover story is going to be that the hybrids went crazy and killed everyone and that will be the end of Prodigy.

Ripley is done, I have no interest in seeing her or anyone related to her in any upcoming Alien-thing ever. She was good in the first 3, Alien 4 is bad, time to move on.

No... ? I think you're talking about the cocoon in Romulus maybe? There hasn't been anything like that in any other alien movies so far.

There was one movie that had something similar in it. It just didn't have the sack. They just showed the "arm". I don't want to watch them again but if I get the chance, I will watch Romulus again. The only one I watch over and over is Aliens and it wasn't in that.

Kirsh: Sort of like Al Capone's right hand man, Frank Nitti, sabotaging him.

Male Xenomorph: Always thought they were male with only the queen being female.

The Fly: I think they are just like flies. They cough up something to dissolve their meal and then sip the liquid through a straw like thing on their face. I don't think it's acid like the xenomorph. Are the writers passing this off as their creation?

Juvenile xenomorph: Wasn't there one who the captain shot in Covenant and then he "birthed" one and David was playing with it?

Wendy: Don't like the Wendy character and wish they would get rid of those characters and just focus on everything else now that Earth has been invaded.

I, too, don't think a tamed xenomorph will sit well with the fanbase.

ChrisAlien: Earth ForumHonest first impressions of Alien: Earth
It is an enjoyable show, but don't like some of the stuff they are messing with in the lore, like how can the android communicate with the Alien ? I bet they go down the road that the Alien is just misunderstood and not that bad after all.Like they did with Orcs in rings of power.

This unfortunately seems more and more plausible after watching Episode 6.

First time in Alien history that a Xenomorph was referred to as an "adult male"... Kirsh refers to the Xenomorph Wendy killed as an adult male... interesting. This episode was very boring. The only time I jumped was when they showed the monsters.

Always thought they, with the exception of the queen, were male.

I mean yes we've always assumed and referred to them as Drones or Warriors, assuming the Hive/ Queen hierarchy, but technically nobody in the films had ever made that distinction, only the Queen was given any kind of gender acknowledgement.

Weyland Yutani really is the only major discrepancy between Alien Earth and Scott's prequels. The Maginot launched in 2055 under WY meanwhile it was still just Weyland Corporation in 2093 when the Prometheus landed on LV 223. It does at least seem like Noah Hawley wasn't allowed to do anything with Weyland. No direct nods to that half of the company.

Yeah there's no way Ripley will be making an appearance in this and it would only seriously confuse the timeline even more lol it's a good thing Ripley’s story arc is being kept separate.

Thank goodness the series and films don't share the same timeline, officially. Cause yeah it would have caused so much confusion.

Wrong. Weyland Merged with Yutani in 2099 for film continuity. The merger appears to have happened much earlier in Alien Earth's timeline. Until Earth a Yutani has only ever been depicted on screen once in AVP Requiem. That actress also did scenes for The Predator but the scenes were cut. Alien Resurrection doesn't have Weyland Yutani, it has the United Systems Military.

Really liking both for different reasons really.

Alien: EARTH is introducing us to a lot of new concepts into the Alien universe whilst Romulus was a great callback to the original.

It’s a tough choice for me. I really like Romulus as a whole. It’s almost perfect as a Alien film that satisfies Alien fans. It gives me Alien Isolation vibe and lots of great throwback after a somewhat detached Convenant.

Alien Romulus is a calculated smash hit and it’s hard to not love it despite a few flaws. On the other hand Alien Earth is a  mad uncontrollable baby which still have so many potential to shock the world.

At this stage I slightly prefer Alien Romulus, but really Alien Earth has so much to explore and it is experiemental, innovative yet also executed greatly so far.

No one is upset but you have asked a few questions irrelevant to this topic. I'm not even sure why you came back here with this after you clarified you had a topic and the answers you wanted

This is all new to me and I hope you will all be patient with me. I like this board (or whatever you professionals call it) and like to see other people's opinions on the movies that have puzzled me since Alien. I guess I just like to see everything tied together with a neat bow. I have gotten many answers here from people who know what they are talking about.

Neomorph Alien: Earth ForumAlien: Earth vs. Alien: Romulus - Which is Better?

Alien Romulus without question. Even if 3 episodes remain of Earth it's highly unlikely it'll change for the better and redeem itself.

While Romulus went a "little" hard on the fan service aspect, it is indeed an authentic "best of Alien" rollercoaster experience whereas Earth seems to have an identity issue (in part because too many people involved perhaps=to many chefs spoiling the broth) and is all over the place.

The xenomorphs were mostly and properly terrifying in Romulus (except the Scorched one that literally saved Rain from plunging to certain death in the elevator shaft) while it just seems confused in Earth and doesn't really seem to know its purpose. Kind of like a metaphor for the series itself.

Sets are impressive in both Romulus and Earth, although it worked better in Romulus as a whole while Earth's sets act like a theatre for actors with various talent in a badly scripted stage play directed by a highschool teacher who wanted to be a director.

Visual effects are impressive in both the film and the series.

The soundtrack is absolutely phenomenal in Romulus and its strongest aspect imo, while it's absolutely horrendous in Earth (they really dropped the ball)

I agree on Andy as well, my favorite android in the series. Likable, caring, badass and cracking terrible dad jokes. I mean how can you not like that guy. Kirsch for me is just Timothy Olyphant being himself more or less.
