The first ever live action Alien TV series will enter production next year. Today it's been confirmed that showrunner Noah Hawley's scripts have been handed into executives at FX and the show is on track to begin filming in 2023!
Details on the show have been scarce lately, but earlier in the year we did receive some character details and a few major plot details - suggesting the show would focus heavily on metahuman technologies, the blending of Synthetic and Human consciousness and immortality. We also learned that the show will introduce us to a new antagonistic corporate entity known as the Prodigy Corporation.
The Alien TV series will also write its own history within the Alien canonical timeline - ignoring the franchise's films entirely.
Fans will be pleased to know that VFX company Weta will be once again lending their expertise to the series for its visual effects work.
As we approach 2023, expect more updates on the untitled Alien TV series!
