Funko CEO Brian Mariotti celebrated the holidays by posting updates for 12 days on the Funko slate for 2017. Each day was devoted to a specific genre, including movies, Marvel, DC, Disney, and Star Wars. On the second day of the teasers, the theme was current movies, in which it was revealed that Alien Covenant funko pops would be produced.
Funko's official forum requires an account to sign on, so the screenshot below shows Alien Covenant listed among Funko's 2017 slate. As Alien Covenant is one of the most highly anticipated genre sequels of 2017, it is certain that Funko will create several pops in the line.
The exact number of Funko pops that will be produced for the film's merchandise is unknown. However, it is likely that the Neomorph, a new Xenomorph Variant, and David may get the Pop treatment, as well as Katherine Waterson's character Daniels.
Are you excited for this news? Along with Neca's upcoming figures based on the film, it looks as if Alien enthusiasts will have a lot of new merchandise to collect this year. Pictured in the banner image is currently existing Alien Funko pop vinyls. We currently do not have images released officially by Funko for the Alien Covenant pops. Stay tuned to Scified for more updates!
