There's nothing soft looking about this Alien Facehugger plush toy from NECA...

First off, we're big fans of NECA and their figures. But recently, the toy manufacturer listed a new interactive Alien Egg with Facehugger plushy that's got us taking a second look. Plush toys are supposed to be soft, but there's nothing soft looking about this Facehugger...

It only takes one glance for you to notice. Now, we get it, imagery of this nature is at the core of H.R. Giger's masterful work in designing the original Xenomorph, the Egg and its invasive little Facehugger, but the confusion lies in this toy's intended purpose – is it a toy? Is it a display piece? Does the Facehugger vibrate? Why does its eyes look like that? People are sure to wonder.

Jokes aside, the light-up egg does look sweet and the plush Facehugger is a great idea – I have one myself, also from NECA, just not this specific type – mine isn't anywhere near as happy to see me when I walk in the room.
