I am picturing a very visceral score. A mixture of the Martian and Alien. I am looking forward to hearing what he creates.

I heard that Jerry Goldsmith's original score will be surprisingly prominent.

It will take some Alien and Prometheus...mash them together while...as Professor Tosspot will say "Farting out their own unique adventurous toot that smell like one too"!

I think Score is one of the things that can make any movie sooo much more than it really is; being hopeful to hear some awe-inspiring yet incredibly eerie & tense scores throughout every scene ^~^

the score is 50% of any movie, just as essential to get the right score than anything else. I remember ridlaey saying they had to do a second screening of alien due to the poor sound system in the first theatre. he stated the reaction he got in the second theatre was exactly what he was after

Yes, the music is very important. It creates the atmosphere, the mood, and sometimes just the music can make you scared. What would Jaws have been without the music of John Williams? :)

if they use any of the original alien soundtrack I would put money on them using the tracks, facehugger or the recovery.
