Question; can anyone tell me what the object in the picture is...?...
If so, and you do get it right, it will be "Your Turn" to ask everyone some kind of Science Fiction or related Movie question...
perhaps we can use media like pictures as well to spice it up for fun.
Anyways I am going first...what's that in the picture?

MemberOvomorph12/4/2011ok,
the answer to that one was,
He got held there because of the nature of his paintings/drawings, when the customs agents saw his paintings/drawings they thought he was some sort of terrorist and film officials would have to travel to the airport and explain and prove that they were being used for a MOVIE

What substance was used to create the tendons of the Xenomorph's Jaws?

Thadus 12
MemberOvomorph12/4/2011I seem to remember somewhere that they used condoms for the tendons?
Ill go for that answer

Spartacus
MemberOvomorph12/4/2011No need to go Check Thadus12
You're right,
They used shredded condoms to do it.
That is 100% exactly correct.

MemberOvomorph12/4/2011According to Ridley Scott, what is the most powerful scene in Alien?

Spartacus
MemberOvomorph12/4/2011I know His "Cecil. B. DeMille shot", was the One Of The Space Jockey,
But which scene He himself considered to be "the most powerful" ...?...
...I know that expression is used because way way back Mr. DeMille was the TOP Gun as far as Power in Hollywood went.
I am tempted to say That scene, but all the same I need to hear it from Scott's Mouth himself, so I am watching that DVD again and...

Thadus 12
MemberOvomorph12/4/2011Its what he considers the most powerfully acted scene, not visual scene

Spartacus
MemberOvomorph12/4/2011I got that, thanks for being definitive about it, still processing this and will post my answer ASAP...damn fine question by the way, and I do remember knowing this at one time a while back...

Rick
MemberXenomorph12/4/2011The most powerfully acted scene there were actually two. When Sigourney and Yaphet Koto got into an arguement during filming and Ridley decided to keep it. That part was after Dallas was taken in the shaft and Ellen came into her own on what to do. The other powerful scene was when Veronica Cartwright actually slapped Sigourney in the face and they almost got into a cat fight over it. That was after she refused to let them in the airlock.

Thadus 12
MemberOvomorph12/4/2011Correct! The scene after Dallas' death where they decide to proceed with dallas' plan, was regarded by Ridley Scott to be the films most powerfully acted scene.

It's Rick's Question & He Has The Con!
* adendum; I understand as well form the DVD that Sigourney Weaver kept pulling back every time Cartwright went to slap her and Cartwright kept holding back on the slap because she was afraid to hurt anyone let alone Sigourney, so Ridey Scott forced Cartwright to keel back and lace into Sigourney as hard as possible and that's a real reaction from Sigourney to the actual heartfelt slap Cartwright never wanted to take at her face.

Rick
MemberXenomorph12/5/2011Ok, this is an easy one.
Which crew member on the Nostromo had a stroke?
Regards,
Rick

Spartacus
MemberOvomorph12/6/2011I'd have to go with Cartwright, who's part was scripted originally for her to have a heart attack...however, a heart attack and a stroke are two completely different things so the only thing In my head right now is maybe there was someone else I am not thinking of that had a brain injury but the only person that could be is Kane.

Rick
MemberXenomorph12/6/2011You guys are closing in Its not Kane and its not Lambert and it is in the movie not real life. No Cheating Sparky. LOL

Spartacus
MemberOvomorph12/6/2011The XENOMORPH did.
I'm going to guess the guy there that Played the XENO, it must have been a Heat Stroke from wearing that outfit!!!
Bilogy I think his last name is.
Oh wait, that's wrong!
It happens IN THE MOVIE not real life.
Damn!
Great Question man.

Rick
MemberXenomorph12/6/2011Actually its movie based but not actually "in" the movie. Not real life.

Biomechanic
MemberOvomorph12/6/2011I thought I read something in Ridley's back story notes that maybe Brett had a stroke?

Spartacus
MemberOvomorph12/6/2011You're right BioMechanic, I just read it at IMDB, it is inferred that "Brett had a stroke several years ago" as you said.

MemberOvomorph12/6/2011Okay here goes nothing.
In the original script the crewmen visit the derelict first and return to their ship safely. Only after the storm dies down a bit and with a clue found on the alien ship do they venture to a pyramid where they finally encounter a facehugger.
What item did the crew take from the derelict and what was the clue that led them to explore the pyramid?

Spartacus
MemberOvomorph12/6/2011I got this,
An Alien Skull is my guess.
I sure hope that's right cause I got a fun one all prepared.

Biomechanic
MemberOvomorph12/6/2011Alien skull is correct but there was 2 questions. I didn't mean to mess the flow up like that. but figured If you know one you usually know the other. Do you know what the clue was?

Spartacus
MemberOvomorph12/6/2011no no "BIO" you are absolutely right. My bad completely,
the clue was the Alien Triangle On the console inside the ship.
