The Narcissus is correct for 1 point. What I want for parts 2 and 3 is who thought of the idea of using that name for the escape ship in "Alien" and where did she/he get it from ?

The name of the shuttle comes from Joseph Conrad's "The Nigger of the Narcissus". From what I can tell it was a collaboration between O'Bannon, Foss and Cobb to come up with the name.

Ok, Snorky got the first Point, and Tattooedkoi just got the 2nd point on the questions 3rd part, but the 2nd part of it all remains unanswered, who was it that said "we're using that name in the film"?...and there is still a point up for grabs along with The Con.

all i want to know is where the alien came from hopefully this film answers that.

Ok, I can't take it any more on this either... the word is... FART !!! Parker says something to Dallas about the coffee being the only good thing on the ship than leans over and does a "one cheek sneak" only he keeps nothing secret !!! And Ridley DELIBERATELY left that in...what a laugh he must have had with that, is still having with it I bet. I read so many stories about Yaphet Koto causing mayhem on the set to the point that Ridley Scott had to trick him to get him to die in the film, he kept saying he was going beat the crap out of it {The Alien}. He hid in the wings to try to mess with Ridley but Ridley outsmarted him and found out where he would be hiding and had the Alien surprise attack him!!! I Love Yaphet, I mean, man...who doesn't?

OK Neurion you are in fact wrong. In the Theatrical release about 10 minutes into the film, the breakfast scene, Parker says as Dallas gets up to go see what Mother has to say, Parker says this... "Can I finish my coffee?", than lifts up his right leg and ass cheek and lets one go...CLEARLY LETS ONE GO !!! Go Look again !!! It;s 100% in there and THAT MEANS Scott did it DELIBERATELY LMFAO !!! I LOVE IT BRO !!! p.s. don't feel bad like i said it took me 30 times of watching it before it dawned on me what it was I was seeing and hearing and now it is clear as a bell every time i see it and hear it.
