Question; can anyone tell me what the object in the picture is...?...
If so, and you do get it right, it will be "Your Turn" to ask everyone some kind of Science Fiction or related Movie question...
perhaps we can use media like pictures as well to spice it up for fun.
Anyways I am going first...what's that in the picture?

MemberOvomorph12/8/2011O.K. an easier question...
What two films did John Hurt work on before Alien ( in terms of release dates)
what characters did he play? and what did the two films have in common?
A point for each

MemberOvomorph12/8/2011The Voice of Aragorn In Lord Of The Rings
And The Voice of Hazel In Watership Down
Both were animated films as well I believe made in 1978.

MemberOvomorph12/8/2011Great! all present and correct I know,I know too easy for you

MemberOvomorph12/8/2011OK,
easy one
As opposed to the aliens in the first two movies which fed on food supplies that they could find and that were also suitable for human beings, the Runner ate his victims with ferocious appetite and ate almost each and every one of them. Many insects and some arachnids eat only living or freshly killed food and are carnivorous only.
It also slept in the cellar with maggots and spiders.
In Alien 3 it's the first time an alien is referred to as WHAT?

MemberOvomorph12/8/2011that answer is incorrect...although it was the first time I heard that word too, and it's great and I will give you the point for it if you insist... there was another word from what I posted, that's the word I am looking for...

Okay, don't know if this will stump you guys but heres goes, two points on offer...
In one of the Alien films one of the characters utters just one word to our titular heroine Rilpey. What word was spoken and by whom?
P.S. This is not available in the DVD cuts, Blu-Ray I don't know, but it was available on the video and cinema release (yet strangly enough not the theathrical release on the DVD, go figure).

MemberOvomorph12/8/2011Could it be...?...
Pvt. Vincent DiStephano as he Says..."OH"...
... right before he dies at the end of Resurrection as Ripley is calling back to him I think.

Gavin
MemberTrilobite12/8/2011Nope, all incorrect.
You may only know the answer if you saw the film in the cinemas or on its initial VHS release, the line seems to have been completely ommited from history since, it isn't even available as an extra or deleted scene.

Gavin
MemberTrilobite12/8/2011Alien or Aliens or Alien 3 or Alien Resurrection, but which? If I told you the film it would be way to easy for a true Alien fan.

Tec-B
MemberOvomorph12/8/2011Wait.. Is it Alien.. I *think* i remember in the novelisation that mother addressed Ripley in the film before the nostromo exploded.. did this carry over to the film? am i grasping at straws.. Quite possibly

Spartacus
MemberOvomorph12/8/2011Ok... it took some hard thinking but I believe I have this solved.
BRETT in Alien,
He says it many times but it is still ONLY ONE WORD...
