I mean come on...you have the derelict, LV 426...it is set before Alien..it describes the origins of the jockeys...and it's still not meant to be a prequel? Why? because there is no xenomorph? please, you would need a much bigger reason than that This is a prequel and anyone that argues otherwise I think has a rather low IQ..the kind of people who argue about what genre a song is, when it is completely irrelevant.."That's not dubstep man it's dubstep-electro"...please

It's kinda a prequel but in a way such as: "Patriot Games" is to "Hunt for Red October" or "Casino Royal" is to "Thunderball"

Already wasted a lot of digital ink explaining how prequel is defined, regardless of one's opinion, or preference for how the word is used, so I rest my case. Zeus' last post here acts beautifully as a closing statement for my own contributions. Thank you, sir.
Right. Though with the proviso that it involves a story arc introduced in the previous works, as added by the Webster variant.
I actually think, that both the Dictionary.com and Webster definitions are open to interpretation. Furthermore, definitions might change over time, as/if the phenomenons they describe, change and evolve. But I understand the need to base your answers on something that feels valid and secure. Whether or not Prometheus is a prequel, nobody knows - that´s not the issue. I don´t necessarily agree or disagree with you on your conception of Prometheus being a prequel or not, but I kind of disagree with your interpretations of the dictionary descripitions and your faithful commitment to them. To follow up on your latest contribution on this topic; if u wrote what u wanted to write, then It is not a waste of digital ink IMO. You can write something in here, and watch it get twisted, misunderstood or used as platform for cheap and self-satisfied punchlines, apparently that´s the name of the game in here. But thank you for a pleasant and impartial dialogue about this subject.

Your first post is that, especially when I've already posted on the news topic (which you should read properly). Was I the only one with this view, no. Move on.
