February 17, 2012^^ If it happens this way, "Prometheus" in modern times has to at least be a separate class of the Gods/Annunaki/Fallen angels for the myth to make sense in the film (certainly a possibility because it keeps things simple and we've heard about Engineers and Elder Engineers).
The reason I think it could be either is that the Titans are definitely a separate class of beings from the the Gods when you look at the myth. And Ridley said "Prometheus" will relate to more than just the name of the ship. I think we're on the right track applying it to the backstory as well as the storyline of the movie. Even if they're just the genetic engineers of this race by the time we catch up to them. The Titans were at one time the Elder Gods, which suggests higher power than the Gods who come along later, and are depicted as very human. However, the Titans on Earth were the remnants of the Elder Gods, and were depicted as human as well many times (Prometheus is a glaring example). So it could be that they're all Annunaki, but that one class of their culture, is the true master over things like genetic engineering and terraforming.
