The unparalleled technology of the SJ, the massiveness of the universe it knows so well, the way the SJ travels thru space and time (using M-Theory of course), the sarcophagi just lying there baiting us to figure out what's inside them... Everybody took it pretty 'calmly' that the famous SJ chair/telescope comes out of the floor ...but no one even mentioned how the sarcophagi must of returned into the floor before Dallas and crew arrived from the Nostromo. Why would they go back into the floor unless the entire journey of the SJ was over.... of course maybe it's just a fail-safe maneuver - and maybe I need to get some sleep now...!
