Ok, I want y'all to bear with me for a minute and don't laugh. I posted this in another thread so here it goes. I saw on another website a big clear picture of the Xenomorph embedded into a cavern wall. I looked hard at it and recognized something different. It's a mask. Here is my evidence and open your minds. What appears to be the Xenos shiny silver head is actually a nose. Look to the left and right of the Xenos head/nose. You see on what appears to be stems from eye sockets with a reflective eye (right) with eye lids. It looks like ears behind the eyes. Then look right below the nose/Xenos head and rib cage. I see what looks like a woman wearing a veil and the body has what looks like exposed cleavage. It also looks like a cape around her in the form of the Xenos legs. The Xenos exoskeleton legs look like a shroud around her in the center. It's like a statue of a woman. It's all perfectly symmetrically shaped. Is anyone seeing this and no, I haven't been drinking and I wouldn't doubt Giger designed this piece. Zoom in and check for yourself. I think this is definitely Giger's work. Here's something to chew on, the more I look at the figure in the middle, the more it resembles (in stance) a crusifix with the arms outstretched (albeit very Giger-esqu and almost evil)...Giger's work in particular is very dark and evil and after hearing some of the comments by Scott about pushing back on the convential thoughts about religion with the film it makes sence that this could be a take on that...after all good and evil could be viewed as a perception of what side you are on...what we deem as evil may be deemed as good by their race and vice versa..makes me think that he could be really coming at this movie from some seriously different angles (the backdrop in the beginning of the movie about two super powers at odds with each other is another symbolic take on this)...after all since the whole idea of the ancient alien theme is that our beginnings started elsewhere which goes against traditional religion wouldn't this then be symbolic of the Engineers being the seeders of life and thus "God" like. I also think that one of the big themes at least symbolically is this thrust for gaining knowledge it's what makes us human and once it's gained like in the Garden of Eden it is the source of our downfall. I may be way off but symbollically I think this movie is going to be very textured... thoughts?
