Do we really need another annoying 'Archaeology' guy

I agree with the majority here that the cast look to polished and primed. I would of love to seen some more down to earth people cast for this in terms of looks its all very Chiseled and clean and a bit G Q. It really could have been a bit more laid back in the looks department to be even more authentic . Then again if you go to far the other way you have alien 3, with lots of bald brits doing cringe worthy bad cockney east ender impressions and us poor brits get that everyday in a soap called east enders which makes alien 3 look like a nice summer vacation.

Skerrit is homely? (well, haircut wasn't doing him any favors) Mom won't like to hear that. Anyway, the Prometheus cast isn't that pretty to me. Rapace - isn't homely, but not a babe either, by conventional standards. An acquired taste (digging her toned body though), Mohawk dude - Trying hard to be a hip character, but looks possibly unhygenic, lol. Kate Dickie - would fit right in with the cast of Alien Fassbender - android. Looks a bit wierd and off-putting in this film though Theron - The corporate world seems to attract many fine looking women. Could be an android too Elba - handsome, but in a down to earth way, not a stretch for a captain Security guys firing guns - normal looking blokes Guy Pearce - Vain, corporate alpha male archetype. Alot of time and money into appearance. Like a more successfu and stable Patrick Bateman. Not a stretch. That leaves Logan Green as the only conspicuously pretty character. and even that may be a stretch according to women's/men's taste.

I haven't been in a comic shop in a long time but happily admit to being a cynic when it comes to pop culture. But I'm an ugly old fart so there you go. It's why I like Alien and Aliens and even Alien 3 on some days. Don't take that away from me!!! Steve Buscemi as David Paul Giamatti as Holloway Phillip Seymour Hoffman as Weylan Kate Winslett as Shaw Morgan Freeman as Janek That girl from American Beauty as Vickers Now that's a cast!

Also in reality,for a long space flight,the crew would need to be young.Mid to late 20's.Plus,I think Fassbender is too obvious to be evil.Perhaps all of us fanboys are being misled,the reason for a sudden rush of trailers.But the cool part about all of this is that all of us are getting our moneys worth,sad we have nothing better to do,but the film IS keeping us entertained.

yes that's it Logan Green..I think he needs to go back to making Buffie the Vampire Slayer episodes..and if Ridley insists he stays in Prometheus then please at least TAKE OFF THE SCARF! as you can see I have deep rooted issues about men and scarves...how about a nice blade scar around the throat like Highlander? that would be an upgrade On a separate note I love the facial tattoo guy, he should be cliche but something about him is really cool I think...he looks like he came from the Blade Runner universe

If anyone is has any doubts about this movie and its cast, fear not. Having immersed myself in all things Prometheus over the last few weeks, I was reading this thread when the trailer for "Battleship" comes on the telly. Puts it all into a very sharp perspective Seriously guys, we have nothing to worry about.
