no, the most iconic scene is the chestburster scene, no question :D

the scene in the original Alien movie where the camera pulls back to reveal the Space Jockey....kadunk...kadunk...kadunk..kadunk....still gives me the chills..that's when you knew this was no ordinary movie...

@Giger's Dream true, but look at it this way, there are lots of people who have never seen alien, and if there is one thing they would know, its the chestburster :)

one seen i've always remembered as a kid was the scene when bishop gets ripped apart by the queen and ripley comes out with the powerloader, "GET AWAY FROM HER YOU B***H!"

Dallas alone in the air ducts .... ( and btw i think that the facehugger scene is even more memorable than the chestbusting one ...2 totally unexpected jolts of terror )

The long walk to the Derelict , the whole trek to the ship was cool with the two camera shots , one on the helmet..... one in the movie ,,,then the helmet cam fads away as they get closer , then nothing , signal lost ....

My favorite is in Aliens, after Ripley has found Newt in the egg chamber. She looks at the queen, rolls her head and torches the whole room. The look on her face before she lights it up is priceless.

The chestburtster got parodied in "Space Balls". So it seems fairly iconic.

looking at the most productive "still" from the entire series, ill take the comings still of ripley meeting thr alien face to face, or the picture used in the Aliens movie poster of Ripley holding Newt in the alien egg chamber, ready to go to war

it's not a still but the opening sequence in Alien as the title gets spelled out with the music still scares the shit out of me.

Hated Aliens, so probably the chestburster.

How about when Bret goes looking for Jones........with the dripping water and chinking of chains. And hands up who saw the Alien hanging up there the first time round....i didnt see it until last year and ive seen the movie a million times before it feels like lol. But now i have the Blu Ray Anthology and i tell you, you can see EVERY little detail.

I'd have to vote for the chestburster as the most iconic [i]scene[/i], but for a single image, it would have to be the facehugger in place, as first seen clearly when Kane's helmet is removed. It's as much parodied, and universally recognized, as the chestburster.
