Prometheus takes place in LV-223!!!

What I got out of the info: 1. Some of it said they change location later on, meaning i assume we end up on LV426 at some point, since it is in the area. 2. I don't think Shaw's birthing is the "chest burster" scene anymore, they say there is a scene on a closed set that only she has scene. I am thinking this is the last 10 minutes of the movie. 3. There is a quote floating around somewhere that the last 10 minutes is a pretty good alien movie. The LV thing doesn't bug me at all. It's a movie. It sure bothers me less then the Cameron lifecycle, which I think ruined the monster for me entirely.

What are you talking about Spart? Who says 2 indentical jockeys "crash landed" on 2 separate moons? The one we see in the trailers (if we can take it at face value) is FORCED down by human hostile action. And whos to even say that this is their home world... For a culture that is 100,000's of years beyond us, it seems like a pretty spartan place does it not... a couple temples...no other infracsture really... This planet could be nothing more than a holding repository of sorts... simply for keeping their potential dangerous "life building blocks" from accidently combining or doing something that was not intended.. It could be nothing more than a biolab and quarantine facilities for all we know.

I agree Shane, having the lifecycle where the Alien cocoons them to turn into eggs is very 'alien' and extremely creepy. I am hoping so much for really creepy things from this movie, the thought of a transformation of your own body is terrifying!

I guess I am completely over reacting to this and I have to be right, most of the film takes place there, but the whole thing moves to LV-426 for the end {last 8 mins} of this film...and that's what Ridley Meant!

I really don't give a shit if they end up on LV426 or not as long as the story is interesting.

Spartacus, Well, I do understand that it seems that 2 ships crash on a moon to be silly. But we don't actually know what happens to the Promethues derelict in the end. But I can guarantee you that the 2nd faked leaked plotline is not real.. actually I don't even remember it... lol. But there still is a chance that some of it will take place on LV-426, or it will be implied.

OK, well shouldnt the planet of the "God-like" things be something more than a desolate barren rock?

i am just so disappointed because I believe WE/I know the entire plot and story right now and it bothers me to no end this does going into any film to no end.

Im with Gem.... Never thought this place was LV426 all along. The intriguing bits now, are what is the actual implication of WEYLAND's role in all of this. I had always figured it was David who would be the one to upset the apple cart... but Im now thinking its something Weyland does. I now think that Weyland has actually preceeded the Prometheus on the HELIADES.... but the Prometheus crew find him 30 years later.. and he has either found a way of prolonging himself a little longer, or he is cocooned or in some form of stasis and in revived... Let the mayhem begin. PS: This talk of the "Fake Leaked" plotline and it now being just like it? What does that mean. I never looked at the supposed "leaked" script... How is this 100% like it without getting into a long winded talk over a "fake" script. Is 100% just like it a slight exaggeration?... The Q&A only showed about 15 total minutes of the movie which is probably going to be 150+ minutes long!

The moon was once a part of Earth. What if LV-426 was once a part of LV-223? Something displaced a large chunk where the derelict is and threw it in the air. The derelict seems to be indestructible so could it have survived and formed on the surface of this new planetoid. Also I read somewhere that the Zeta 2 Reticuli system appears to be moving. Janek I read the title of this post, which I didn't read the content...and then I saw below your post NoX's post... Why couldn't you show the class NoX did and leave out a real possible spoiler? Why put that in the header? I put the 2 together and realized an event had gone down and more info was in the wild, but do really think everyone wants hard info? Conjecture and theory...fine. great stuff, this thing just got way way crazy and some of those whacked out theories you guys were throwing around may even be a part of all this...but one thing is certain now and it's that WEYLAND and their TED web site just got a Massive Kick In The Pants.
