Exclusive Footage Q & A

OK, so the footage finishes, Scott and his posse come in and sit down and Chris Hewitt asks the standard generic "how did Prometheus come about?". Scott does his standard "the other directors missed a trick and didnt ask the space jockey question", he then goes on to say that as his story developed it went further and further away from having any Alien connection at all and became its own beast. This set my question up perfectly as I had decided to ask what one of the community members had suggested - "What is the significance of the SJ's chair/telescope, their interaction with the human crew and the exo-skeleton we have seen them in thus far" - What a question I thought, and it countered Ridleys statement that it has"next to no Alien DNA at all" - I consider SJ's to carry a serious strand of Alien DNA!! Anyways, the ANODYNE questioning began - "Noomi did you feel really tested working in such a A List movie?" to which her answer rambled on for about 5 minutes and didnt really answer such a shitty question anyway. Then some guy got to ask what design team Ridley had used - He didnt mention Giger once, it was all about some other guy and his team. Then another guy asked the rating question "would Ridley downgrade Alien, and what rating should Promethes be?" - You get the impression Ridley is bored shitless answering this same string of questions. He said he was a business man as well as an artist and he wants the rating which will make most return - to which everybody applauded. Then the final question -check this piece of shit - CHARLIZE how do you feel about your character getting compared to Sigourney Weavers Ripley all the time. To which Theron cooly responded "I think thats Noomis" to which the dumb ass journo then rephrased it for Noomi, to which Noomi then muttered something else. I think there may have been one more question, I never got the nod unfortunately, perhaps I should have been more forceful? Either way, I felt the most important thing was the jaw dropping, beautiful footage I saw. Judging by this I think we are all in for a real real treat and Prometheus will deliver for us in spades! My anticipation has increased even more (is that possible!!??) since seeing the 15 or so minutes this morning and I truly cant wait for this movie. Interestingly enough I watched Lawrence of Arabia over the Easter holiday and Prometheus really did remind me of this movie. Big, beautiful shots with us tiny humans engulfed by vastness, and Davids character which I would say is a hybrid between TE Lawrence (Peter O Toole) and Star Trek Next Gens DATA. Pretty cool combo! Even more so, I cant wait to own this bad boy on blu ray - Perhaps I will even purchase a 3d blu ray player and a 3d 1080p TV purely for my own Prometheus viewing!
