I Hope the Space Jockeys don't talk

I hope the space jockeys don't even attempt to communicate with humans at all. I would find that much more frightening. I hope they are completely indifferent to us, they just use us for their experiments and stuff. Trying to communicate with the crew of the Prometheus would be like us talking to an intruding family of chipmunks. I find it would be unrealistic.
It could be cool if they had their own alien language though, as long as it is clearly non-human sounding.

They are humanoid, or we are SpaceJockanoids depending on your perception, but either way, they do have mouths, so they are probably going to say something...that or eat a hotdog. I believe in one of the leaked scripts the Space Jockey has a 13" long tongue and makes Shaw get all giggly and she has a mental flash forward of her riding his head and when she leaves the room we see the big tentacle tongue hit the window as in the trailer.
The only downside to my theory is that ... I wrote the leaked script whilst downing a bottle of absinth

Its probably a misnomer that the "Engineers" and the "Space Jockeys" are not the same people

They could communicate by kicking everyones heads in lol.........could mean "HELLO" lol............id hate to see an argument lol

Agreed. I dont want them to speak either but really, there is no reason why they cant speak.

Telepathical could be how they could do so.
I do agree that having then talk to the crew would take the edge of any potential fear factor with them.
They would have some means to communicate, i mean they left clues to us did they not?
They would have had some method to communicate with ancient civilisations.
And dont forget they have some kind of written Language (hieroglyphics)

What... No Star Trekkian "Universal Translator" fans here!!
Hahahaha... I do want to hear them make some kinds of unintelligible sounds though. Should be very bass-y, gutteral and sheeet disturbing.
Now I hate to mention this, but there IS a Weyland patent noted in the timeline for a bioorganic implant that allows for the translation of language without ANY LEARNING required on the part of the user.... So...that must be there for something as ALL of the other timeline notations are turning out one by one to de directly related to something in the film.

The Key to this entire film is the Space Jockey.
and as someone in the media said recently...
"Scott’s playing with the yin and yang that comes with seeking immortality or making contact with a higher life form - thinking that we’re the only superior creature in the universe - and winding opening Pandora’s box. Somethings shouldn’t be investigated, but human curiosity won’t allow it. Our nature is discover and explore - perhaps it’s a kismet, alien part of our DNA that leads us back to our original ancestor? Was the Space Jockey also a hominid alien explorer seeking truths of the universe?"
With respect to them, The Space Jockeys talking, In the Extended edition of Alien we do hear a communication in their voices that is what we could consider talking but it is completely indiscernible to humans and almost certainly a communication meant for his associates...so if there is "talking" done by the Jockeys, i feel it would only be done between each other.
But that aside, I think it will not be something we see in this film and I also think this...It is Insulting...with all due respect to the OP, IMO, to even ask this question because it pre assumes that Scott and Giger and even the Suits at Fox haven't already thought this all through.

i don't mind the idea of comunication with that weyland timeline device. but if because of that when the spacejockeys talk (if they do so) we hear it in english, well thought of or not, i'll dislike that little fact.

Tom Hanks
Bruce Willis
David Dukovny
Eddie Murphy
Mike Myers
John Travolta
Ellen Degeneres

Insulting? Spartacus...why is hoping for this concept insulting?....It's no different than any other wishlist thread where someone hopes for something to be in the film because they like the idea.....let's not be harsh now...

@Necronomicon IV
Totally agree! Not in English, maybe in Sumerian...but in general I share your ideas
