Sorry, I know this isn't an 'Alien' discussion but I would be very greatful of all you scientifically minded people out there if you could help me decide on a decent telescope to purchase, as an amateur just starting out.

MemberOvomorphApr-20-2012 8:35 PMI suggest you not worry about finding Z2R. I would be worried about it finding us. As for a scope, any good 3x9 attached to an M4 loaded with explosive rounds with an attached granade launcher may be useful in such an event!!! lol

MemberOvomorphApr-20-2012 8:38 PMSee if you can find a star party in your area. I wouldn't purchase a telescope to look at a star. It's really not worth the expenditure IMHO. If, however, you want to look at nebulae telescopes can be pretty fun. Check out a star party first, that way you can look through numerous telescopes and see what you like!

MemberOvomorphApr-27-2012 9:23 PMI just read the original Alien Script (1st draft was called 'starbeast') from 1976. some lines are still there and the basic stroy idea is there but it's radically different in alot of ways. But....even in that first early draft Zeta 2 Reticuli is in there. Just thought people might find that interesting.
