Incredible Must See Space Jockey/Engineer Approaching David Gif

I can't help but think the Space Jockey scene, with the seat unbuckling from him, is actually being shown to us backwards. In the movie, it actually encloses itself around the jockey as he sits down. I don't know why I think this. I can't prove it.

If it's a "videophone," then what's to stop the SJs on the other end from finishing the job started by whoever takes off in the ship that ends up being rammed?

The running figure looks more like someone in a space suite. The head looks too big to be the SJ. The hologram looks like the SJ on the far right is saying "calm down now" to the one walking into frame. The walking SJ looks like he's walking with a purpose while the third SJ looks like he's bowing in submission maybe. Perhaps this one is about to be punished for something? Either way, I think it's a recording.

Not literally saying calm down of course. The gesturing I mean :)
