Ive had a moment of clarity

Sorry for typos...shitty galaxy phones So im going to be very happy just to know how Peter knows what he knows in the first place, and also how this can end for a sequel. I can only think of an Aliens type sequel where a second mission goes back to lv223, shaw is rescued out of cryo and we just have a bigger fight with whatever has evolved. That would be shite...i would much rather Prometheus gets to half time so to speak and we pick up the conclusion

Oh theres a sequel all right, but Prometheus is over with... I said no one survives..no humans survive that is. but David does. Prometheus is the prequel, so to speak, to Alien. David is in the sequel, again, an awkward way to put it....to Blade Runner.

i wouldn't say for sure we know much about what happens in the film, certainly the ending and who survives (or not). I'd be surprised if no one survived, as it's Hollywood and they won't want to bum out the whole audience if therre are no survivors at all. So i'd imagine Shaw and probably Vickers survive. I also expect at the end that both will hate the weyland company with a passion, and would know what Weyland would do if they knew about the biotechnology. My guess is they would keep it secret, if they managed to get back to earth at all. But as continuity is for fanboys and not directors it wouldn't surprise me if there was some way for them to get rescued, and leave an opening for their characters to be in a sequel, as RS does seem to mention there is room for a sequel to this, i think Fassbender has said so too. A David can be powered up at any time, straight off the production line, there's no need to keep him as a survivor. I do think that the crews attitude and disdain for David will be mirrored in the Engineers attitude to us, we treat our creations according to our whims, I guess this film will show 'gods' can too.

Interesting....now those are two universes that would work well together, very clever if they pulled it off...Ridley would be a very happy man

Jp, I can't see Ridley going bush league high school art project cheap on ideas at this point in his career..Prometheus will be great and if I'm wrong I'll still be happy no matter what.

@Frever War, I think i've read that you intend to put up your theory as to what the film will be like 2 days prior to it going on release (i assume you mean in france or the uk). By then everyone will know what is in it in detail if they want, it wouldn't surprise me if there was even a crappy cam quality bootleg up by then, so why not put it up sooner? I'd have a read of it.

@windood In the book he knew but of course it never made it into the movie so RS can do what he likes. I'd be suprised if he strayed too far away from the original plot though

Do we think Ash was correct? I'd imagine things of this nature may have to be overlooked now that prometheus changes the mythos. Maybe Ash will in future be considered to be incorrect or lying? Is the novel still available, i think i'd like a read of that. Cheers TheNextLV426
