DALLAS = The movie. Whaddya think?

A whole film that starts with Dallas in the air ducts trying to flush the alien out of the airlocks in 'Alien'. Then the film would explore what the alien does to him and Brett, whom obviously is already been cocooned and turned into an egg. Then finish naturally ending with them been incinerated.
Hey? It would make for a deeply sickening movie, very scary.
I reckon Josh Brolin should play Dallas, and someone who looks vaguely like Brett would suffice.

for a minute I thought of Dallas the soap opera -.-"

2 hours of dallas being dragged by the alien ???
"hey leave me ...."
" stop !!"
" what you want to do with that egg ??"
"aaarghhhh "

When I read the title I was thinking about Dallas' life before the facts in Alien.
But him being dragged for 2 hours would be a perfect art film by some independent director from Vietnam or Kyrgyzstan.
I don't think there is enough story for a mainstream feature.
Ridley Scott will eventually tell us how the Queen was born.
Right now we have the Deacon; coming soon the Mercury, the May and the Taylor.

I think they could stretch this to a full feature we have never seen the private life of the xenos I'm sure they can be very nice chaps they are badly missunderstood.
We could see the Xeno hand feeding Dallas bits of Brett to keep him alive around an open camp fire!!!

wonder why it didnt kill Dallas. clearly it didnt need a live person to create an egg, and it could have just as easily taken brett alive as it did dallas.

He could have some crazy 2 hour monolgue while embedded in the Alien slime. Eventually he asks Ripley to burn him due to his existential angst ...

Yes chthon, that.
Though I would see a French Auteur direct it, or possibly a Soviet director.

ahahahhhhh...
it would be fun to see that the chestburster was actually eaten by Jonesy and that the "xeno" was Keyser Soze in desguise.
"and just like that... he´s gone"

This is similar to the proposal for the sequel to Ridley Scott's Thelma and Louise called "Thelma and Louise - the Next 10 seconds"

Which was going to last 3 hours

I would rather see how the colony on LV426 was overrun - from the first chestburster to Newt as the last person standing. It would be very similar to Alien as the colony has very few weapons and get picked off one by one.

I'm not gonna lie - that is an absolutely terrible idea.
I would probably go see it, though.

Excellent idea, but I wouldn't give it time of day unless they shoot it in Smell-o-vision.

Haydn,
You are my favorite member. Even if I grow to hate everything you say. This idea alone has put you in the best of.
I think there should be flashbacks to Dallas' life. The whole movie could be him looking over his mistakes (his bio is so damn good. In a much earlier thread, I asked about a Dallas movie based on Scott's Bio) in the military, his young hotshot days, so much. All the while he is mutating. Eric Rohmer. Hell, give it to Del Toro to do since he has canned ATMOM. Dallas is just such a great character. But it would definitely be art-house. Rohmer all the way.
And I am not being facetious. This really would make a great movie. But you have to go back and forth between his past and his present.
