Blade Runner

Well, you all better get used to it and the idea of it cos' its happening! Whether you like it or not Ridley Scott HIMSELF is in the pipeline for continuing on with the franchise and/or taking it/advancing it I'd like to think into a new direction... So he's the one you should be piping up at!

It's not going to be a reboot... A continuation of themes. You really must keep current with the intent of the thread. No Reboot... A continual exploration of the Blade Runner universe and issues it raises. NO F!@*ing REBOOT people! O.k. An expansion of themes is what is on the adgenda if Ridley Scott once again is to be belived...

Yeah. Casting is going to be a problem. Most of the heroes these days are more of chocolate face and less of hero/vilians. We hardly managed to turn tom hiddleton as vilian, i can't imagine heroes for Blade runner. But in case of continuation, yes please something that doesn't screw the original plot, fair enough.

I trust Mr. Scott wholeheartedly (apart from White Squall, one of the few times I thought - there's time I won't get back). I can't change what is happening, Blade Runner will stand alone and apart for me, Deckard, Zhora, Pris (I had rats called that a long time ago) , in fact all the main characters have completed story and character arcs for their purpose or I will have to add stuff to old tattoos lol (I don't need artistic afterthought).

I would pipe Sir Ridley... hit him with a steal pipe if he destroys my childhood. lol

Well you trust him with Prometheus don't you and that, I'm sure is related in some way to Alien wich was part of your childhood too right? Well if you trust that and you have come that far then trust in this also... Because I'm certain its going to be fine. Just opening the lid on the container that contains the contents! I bet that will 'bake your noodles' later on! Lol!

Heh! Thats good of you David 1. I'm certain quite a few upon this forum as well as yourself are driven by integrity and intellectual principle upon such things as fan-orientaed continutiy across franchised subject matters and conceptalized themes that direct or in-directly correlate and serve to compliment one-another and that of us as the wider fan-based intellectual community with regards to this material. @ id Rather Be Eatin Something Else......you're absolutely right, I don't read. Man, people on here are becoming ruder by the day. You are no exception. Again, there are pleasant ways to phrase things but apparently you weren't raised with manners.

I was raised with manners, I just felt I was repeating myself two to four times or so. Rudeness whether direct or indirect was never my true intention, what may at first sight (or read) appears at least on the surface as rudeness in actuality is more boardred on semi-tolerant frustration. Saying (typing) something once knowing peolpe have read it saying (typing) something a second time, knowing people out there can read but the point has seemingly gone right over their heads so there fore it seems to have to be reiterated upon a third time! It's just my hope that people can get the point essentialy and the topic of the theme at hand or currently in question and not have to need it so oviously spelt out for them. You hope that readers just get the point upon there own without the necessity of having to be reminded constantly about it. I value inter-personal banter and intellectual stimuli within the annals of the subjects that are disccussed upon here and never intend to have to put peoples back up, but it is a two way street and the thread in question was already in progress and had quite clearly been fleshed out and elaborated upon. However, I would rather differ to your co-operation IrishAndroid1 and as a result you would have mine upon here too, alright. Let us not allow a reasonably explained misunderstanding create a wrong impression here on this forum, what do you say?

Yes, I know Blade Runner Rocks... it's just telling it over and over when it has been so clearly stated the nature of the particular thread in question (i.e: this one) and yet its as if there are those out there who clearly MUST have read and taken in the intellect of the conversation! Yet its as if they come blundering in without any idea and begin spouting off rather less-thought-out comments because they havent ACTUALLY taken in what was initiated at the begining of the conversation in the first place! A some-what naieve approach is self-evident in that regard as a result and its like you have to spend the next several comments later bringing their slight ignorance and narrow-mindedess up to speed to be in line with everyone else! Now sometimes its charitable to do that but clearly some are just plain dumb and come blundering into a conversation without a common sense of reasoning to go with it! No intention to take in the thread and its internal logic from the out set and no attempt to take in the balanced referals at least I KNOW I ATTEMPT to try and convey as evenly and disciplined as can. Some peoples lack of thoght and calibre just annoys me a little. I do love it when people enter into a conversaition with the fore-thought and planned intent to offer real juicy intellectual tone and dialogue for the rest of us to follow the lead upon. Give us all pause for thought, not just mindless brain anatomy with no diciplin in place regarding what they say or contribute as a whole. A little thought that goes into something brings others eventually into line with your way of thinking if you but first flirt with the mind from the get-go!
